  • Thankful for, happy about, AND excited to meet this little guy I've been growing! I'm also, of course, thankful for his daddy and constantly in awe of the amazing person his big sister is growing up into <3

Plus (!) my little brother will be driving down a couple days before my due date, I just learned, and my mom has the whole month of July off and wants to come visit! Since we live quite a ways away from each other and visits are few and far between this has got me seriously giddy :):):) I can't believe just how blessed we've been this year!

@karaelaine1991 yay for being done for the semester!! That's awesome, lady!

We had a lovely visit with my FIL and step-MIL last week/end.  They came to visit us "overseas" and she is legally blind, and they both have health concerns - so this was a BIG deal for them.  They had the best attitude, spoiled us rotten, and are already excited for their next visit.

Next week, DH and I are checking out the new city that work is relocating us to next year.  I get to take a week off work, sleep in, and explore neighborhoods, amid just a few meetings here and there.  It will put our minds at ease about yet another move, and will be our last "big" trip before baby.

This coming weekend, I get to meet my best friend from college's baby boy!  He will turn 1 right around when my LO is due, and I can't wait to kiss his cheeks and stay up late, chatting with my girl.

DH has been loving all over my belly lately.  He is getting really excited, and being overwhelmingly sweet.  Trying to soak up this magical time as much as possible!

Thank you! I'm glad you had a great weekend with your in-laws! :)

We had our labor and birthing class yesterday. Very eye-Opening for both me and DH. He was so sweet afterwards. He took me out of the way home to go to a new noodle restaurant I kept mentioning. Then to the ice cream shop right across from it. (I protested, but he convinced me the dairy would help my heartburn. I'm all in!)

I also got the noodles as "medium" spicyness and I could not feel my lips after a few bites. Baby got all riled up. I know where I'm heading if I go too far beyond my due date!

We also successfully got a new car on Saturday. I did not want to spend the money but I feel so relieved we got this done with 6 weeks to go!
  • @hoodoll82 that sounds like a good day. Noodles, ice cream, new car. :-bd

  • I am super thankful for my son and fiancee this past four months have been tough... Had to put family dog down, lay off, several family pets have passed ive had trouble at work, and now our cat has run off. But my fiancee has found a better job than what he had, and has been extremley patient with me. He bought me silly socks (with explicitives so i cant share here) to help cheer me up, and my incredibly patient son (6) has given up his free time to help around the house and help search for our cat!
  • So thankful for a beautiful sprinkle that was thrown for me yesterday. It was the perfect mix of amazing food and desserts, fun beverages (strawberry moonshine...which I didn't partake in ;)), great friends and gifts for LO. Feel so loved.

Ooo, moonshine.  I didn't realize I missed Apple Jack til just now.  Thanks a lot! :-)  JK, glad you had an awesome sprinkle. Days like that fill up my soul.
  • Thankful every day for an amazing and supportive DH. But today also feeling thankful for the midwives at the practice that I'm going to. They are all so sweet and patient and different than the OB's I've been to in the past.

He settles her in her home as a happy mother of children, praise the Lord! (Psalms 113:9)
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understand, will guard your heart and mind in Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:7)

  • Those urges are intense, man! So exhausting but so fulfilling!
