Flu or just the icky ninth month.

for the past 3 days I've been feeling really crumby. My muscles ache, I'm shakey, feel nauseas, exhausted, and crampy. I can't decide if maybe it's the flu or if it's just being pregnant. Lol... I am just shy of 38 weeks, What do you ladies think? I really can't decide wether I should let the doc check it out or just ride it out? Until I decide I'm spending the day pampering myself! (:

  • I have all the above symptoms too. I read they are signs labor is coming. I hope for both of us that it is! It would be really bad to be sick for the birth of baby.

  • Don't worry, I'm also 38 weeks and have all the same symptoms you have.. And typically I have gone and left everything to the last minute, and now am feeling too weak to finish what needs to be done... Last minute shopping, cleaning etc... I haven't even packed my hospital bag yet... Im just so exhausted!!
  • Im am in the same boat as you are, my doctor didn't think me feeling so sick had anything to do with the preg but I know I am in need of riding it out for 3 more weeks! I am to tired to function now and feel to yucky to care about what all I have left to do!
  • I'm so happy that you ladies feel the same (I mean that in the best way) lol I'm crossing my fingers and toes that this means "impending labor" for all of us! Let's be honest we're all ready to meet our wee babes at this point!!! If it's true, then keep the symptoms rolling!! (:
  • My MIL thought she had the flu when expecting DH. She went to the hospital and had a baby. He came at 38 weeks. Could be completely different for you, but may also be the beginning of labour. I'd at least mention it to your doctor.
  • I have had the worst cold ever, stuffy nose, sneezing and not to mention my first trimester symptoms have returned :( so I'm back to spitting, nausea, and being a bed potatoe. I'm due May 15.
  • I have similar sympoms as well. I'm would say it's just pregnancy especially because the flu this late in April is highly unlikely. The latest you typically see the flu is March. There are some cases in April but not many. If you aren't running a fever then I personally would chalk it up to pregnancy.
  • I am coming down with what I assume is a cold right now. Which is awesome. I really wish I could chalk this up to labor but now I am just pretty sure I have a cold so it's probably best if I'm NOT in labor. Can only handle so many things at once, it is not fun to be getting sick on top of 9th month pregnancy symptoms.
  • I'm only 36 weeks and this is me. I have been cramping so bad, I'm weak, headaches, diarrhea, and the list goes on and on. I really hope it's a virus and nothing more because I still have two weeks till my maternity leave
  • Oh yes! I thought I had a touch of the flu - was running to the bathroom with diarrhea (which I never get, preggo or not), was nauseous, and exhausted. My doctor thinks it was a bug too. That was last week at 37 weeks. Now I'm 38 weeks and it's better, but my sinuses have been out of control! I'm not ready for baby yet, so I hope it's not signs of labor. My doctor thinks I have time yet too, so that's a relief! Feel better!
  • I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who feels like they have the flu. I was so sick Tuesday I lost seven pounds from diarrhea and vomit (sorry, TMI) I'm 36 weeks so I'm hoping it's not the sign of labor this early but hey, my body would know best right? Haha. I wish the best of luck to you all! We're all getting so close!
