I hate my new body pillow

dh was so sweet to buy it for me when I showed him the Leachco back n belly pillow. It arrived last night and I had the worst night's sleep ever. I tossed and turned more than I slept. Ugh, please tell me I'll get used to it and love it eventually.

Re: I hate my new body pillow

  • I don't like body pillows, they aren't comfortable for me. I had one my first pregnancy and never got used to it. The last 2 pregnancies I have just used a few regular size pillows to get comfortable.

  • I have kinda got used to it but i Still toss & turn ... Only way I am actually comfortable is sleeping on my back which :-/
  • I had the snoogle and hated it the first night. I kept it for a couple weeks and still hated, so I ended up returning it. I realized a needed a smaller pillow, I got the leachco preggle pillow and like it a lot. I probably would have been fine with a cheapo Target body pillow too. Lesson learned. I'd return the pillow now if you really hate it.

  • I just got a cheapo Target body pillow...and I'm not sure it's helping me out much either! Makes me wonder if I need to squash it down so it is less puffy...or something.
  • Also, my ob suggested using a body pillow to prop up my right side. I'm a side and back sleeper, so this has been the most comfortable for me. Apparently we don't need to be completely on our left sides. I still sleep on side and back, but when I'm on my back, the body pillow is underneath my right side. When I spend the whole night sleeping on my side, my hip really hurts.

  • RETURN!!!! It waste of money like I said on another post I've tried them all and hated them !!
I just bought a ton of king size pillows and make a nest and boom I feel better and sleep tru the night less then those stupid Prego pillows
  • I love my pillow. I have the same one since 2011. I also use my regular body pillow and that one I use between my legs and under belly and head. I love the back and belly pillow after baby too for nursing. I'd prop one arm up behind my head and it worked wonderfully. Give it a few more times and then sell it if you don't like it. I like it mostly against my back.
  • I borrowed a friends snoogle/leachco and LOVED it so i bought my own and since it isnt broken in so to speak its bothered me a little but helping me sleep so much better. Im thinking of washing it a few times to break it down a little but i dont think i could make it without one i was miserable before
  • I had to return mine.. I roll back n forth in sleep and its just impossible with that huge pillow it also made my neck tight. . I tried sleeping with it for 4 nights and I was done lol buh bye snoogle
  • @lillaura4unme have you used??? It

It's Velcro so when you move it detaches it self
    I hated it

Never did it stay intact always fell apart useless to me

  • I bought mine early and hated it (huge, too hot, etc) so it stayed in a closet for weeks. Around 18 weeks I couldn't sleep for more than 2 hours without waking up by of hip pain. I got the pillow out and...full night of sleep! The leachco is definitely unwieldy but it's let me sleep for a couple weeks now.
  • I shudder to think how much shipping charges will be to ship that huge thing back. I might just keep it to avoid the hassle. I haven't popped yet so maybe when my belly gets big I'll like it more. I can see it being useful for after delivery though.

  • @kvilla4 yes I've been using it and it's helped me stay on my side for the most part. I'm able to sleep just fine with it but it's possible that lately I'm just so exhausted by the time I go to bed that I'm not moving around enough to detach the pieces. The Velcro is pretty strong, the fabric is soft and the shape works for me. I'm 4'11 btw so I was worried it wouldn't fit me well but it does. :)
  • @MW5280 I'm trying to smoosh down my Target body pillow and this thing won't budge!!
  • @barrelcarol I think I'm going to have DH's kiddos (6 & 9) jump on it when they get to our house this weekend. It's just toooooo fluffy!
