I am 36 weeks today and dr estimated 5-6lbs.

Do you ladies get u/s every week to check this? My midwife doesn't even check for progress. I didn't get weight estimates with my DD either.

icajesica82 I asked my midwife if she could give me an estimate of baby's weight, she did it by hand and how the baby was positioning. She says its not always accurate, she has been a pound or two off, so don't get my hopes up.

It seems to be a practice by practice thing. I haven't had a scan since my anatomy scan this time and likely won't unless something goes wrong. Last time, I had 2 growth ultrasounds towards the end. Just depends on he doctor preference.

At my appt yesterday was 36 weeks 6 days and he said baby was approximately 7# 2oz.

@icajesica82 I get weekly growth scans to keep an eye on baby's growth and fluid level due to a couple different issues....believe it or not, my OB has never measured my fundal height the whole pregnancy...

Baby was estimated at 5 pounds at 33w3d I'm TERRIFIED of having a giant baby! Doctors said its fine and she's in the 65th percentile but I'm still scared!

Had an u/s yesterday they told me over 5 lbs at 34 weeks. I have always been small, so a little nervous. Hoping its off by a lb or so or that baby will gain a half lb the last 6 weeks.

I haven't been measured or gotten an estimate on my baby's weight since I was about 28 weeks maybe I'm 37 weeks now and I want to know how big my baby is will I get an ultrasound soon or not?

young&beautiful Probably wont get one done. Where I'm at you get an early u/s if they need to date, and the 20 week u/s and that is all for standard.

I'm measuring big and had a growth scan at 35w4d. The weight was calculated at 7lb 9oz. I'm pretty nervous the baby is going to be 11lbs by the time I deliver.

They haven't done a weight estimate since the anatomy scan, but back then he was only in the 23rd percentile so I'm assuming he'll be on the smaller side

I win. I have controlled GD, but at my growth scan on Monday (37 weeks 3 days), they said he weighed 9 lb. 11 oz. I'm having another one next week to follow-up with MFM. Hopefully the first one was completely inaccurate.

35w5d baby measuring 3lbs 4oz but we have a severe IUGR baby who is not even on the percentile chart anymore

My OB doesn't do regular sonograms (last one was 30 weeks) and I haven't gotten a specific weight estimate. 36+6 and she said he's probably average weight

I had a growth scan today because I was measuring small but that is because the baby's head is as low as he can get! Doctor said that can happen when they drop. He is estimated at 6 lbs 12 ounces at 37 weeks 4 days.
