First Ultrasound - slow heart rate

I'm 6 weeks pregnant today and at 5 weeks 2 days I went in for a scan and we seen the heartbeat but the report sent to my gp says fetal heart rate is low. 98bpm. Doctor said to be cautiously optimistic :( what was your little ones heart beats at that age and should I be worried??

    Im 9wks 2days and i didn't see a heartbeat until 6 weeks 5 days. So be optimistic you seen a heartbeat that early. At almost seven weeks my LOs heartbeat was only 114 now it stays at 145& up.

    The heart may have just begun to beat when it was measured. Wishing you the best. At that stage it could have just been the beginning. I didn't see a heartbeat until 8 weeks & BPM when I saw it for my viable pregnancies was something like 130 BPM.

    However, the heart for both babies (that came home) had two more weeks on your bean. Hang in there. Hugs.

    Very true! At about 5 wks is when it starts to beat, so it will start slow then pick up. I'm waiting until 8 wks to go for my first u/s.

    Usually that early, its hard to hear a heartbeat... surprised your DR even heard it unless he mistaken yours for the babies (which can happen very easily!)  
    I went into an appt to hear the babies heartbeat at 10 weeks, and my Dr. had issues trying to hear it because it was still a bit early. I had to hold my breath for him to hear it long enough to make sure everything was okay. I got 170 BPM. 
    Just hang in there, at your next appointment you should be able to hear the heartbeat a lot better...

    My baby also had a slow heartbeat at my 7 week ultrasound (112 bpm) and the doctor said it is a bit concerning but I think baby is just developing at their own rate! They couldn't find a hb at all at 6 weeks (doctor brought me in because my beta levels were a bit low) so I don't think it's that odd that it's still in the 110s. Try not to stress and see if you can get another appointment in a week or two to check again, that is what my doctor is doing with me. Good luck!

    Hey girls. I had a scan done yesterday at 6 weeks 2 days and bubs is measuring 6 weeks 4 days and heart rate was 122. So all is good. Thank you for the replies :D

    I measured at 8w2d at my first and the heart rate was 177bpm. But I've heard numbers all over the place. Don't stress until you need to. Just love the baby you have right now.
