am i the only one!?!

This is my first... my husband doesn't want to find out the sex of the baby... before we got pregnant he said I have to promise not to find out!! I actually thought he was kidding... So I played along... Well jokes on me!!! He was DEAD serious... No chances for me to find out! I'm excited to not know but I'm so nosey!!! Anyone else not finding out!?!

Re: am i the only one!?!

  • We might not! But I do really want a boy. I think I would be briefly disappointed with a girl.

  • My fiance and I aren't finding out =) I am going to be really curious but I'm going to contain myself haha I told him we need to at least come up with two boys names and two girls names since twins run in our family - ultrasound sound this weekend will at least confirm how many! =)
  • Not finding out is really fun. I loved having guessing conversations with H every night before DS was born.
  • We didn't find out and it was great in the delivery room!!
  • We are team green this time, it is going to be hard to find out the sex but I think it will make for a good surprise at the end.

  • We didn't find out with our first and we aren't finding out with this one either. It's so worth it to be surprised at birth! Don't ruin the surprise!
  • Ohhh I feel so much better!!! Thank you!!!!!
  • We are finding out with this baby but the next one we aren't..I love to plan ahead and don't usually like surprises but I think since this is my first I really want to be prepared but we already agreed that with our second we aren't until the day the baby is born
  • I'm not, and didn't find out with my first, either. My husband said it was the best surprise of his life. All he wanted was the moment of walking out to the waiting room to our parents and exclaiming "It's a girl!" I didn't think that was too much to ask.
  • We didn't find out with our first and I'm 99% sure we won't find out this time either. Having everyone guess the sex is so much fun. And it was and awesome moment when DH announced, "It's a girl!" in the delivery room.

  • My husband had a similar promise forced upon me lol @RebeccaVHogan I'm not 100% on board but I'm excited none the less about the announcing part in the delivery very room. It's just going to be so hard to not know!!! Especially as it's my first too!
  • ;;) I'm excited now!!! You guys made my day!! *muah*
  • Same exact situation here! I thought my husband was kidding too! So no, we aren't finding out! I hope I can make it!
  • My mom was really upset too!! Lol
  • We're not finding out, even though DH is not happy about it. He'll live! Plus, I don't want to get a bunch of pink crap at the shower if I end up with a girl!
  • Haha!! Good point!!!
  • We aren't and we didn't with our first either

  • I'm right there with ya! My significant other told me he didn't want to know and I too thought he was joking. I'm good with the surprise factor now. I mean, how often are you really surprised in life, right?
  • I found out with my first two pregnancies and wanted to wait with the third. My husband was on board but now isn't so sure since we found out we are having twins. I'm still on team green!
  • This is our first and we are not finding out either! You all have added to my excitement with your delivery room stories too. :-). I figure it also makes sense to get everything gender neutral so it works great for future babies.
  • We didnt find out with our first and we won't for this pregnancy. It was so much fun in the delivery room and my husband loved getting to share the news with everyone in the waiting room and on the call list.
  • We are not finding out :)
  • We are not finding out either, but we did with our first.
