Itchy feet!?!?

My feet have been itching for a week and half. It woke me up 7 times last night! I want to shave my skin off my foot!

I called my dr and the nurse acted like it is nothing. Could it be the liver problem? My next appt is not for another three weeks but I feel like any potential problem should be ruled out before then.

    Itchy hands and feet could be a liver enzyme. I'd ask to be checked. My friend had this and turned out to be a food allergy but it never hurts to check!

    I started a discussion on this about two weeks ago, and I feel your pain. Waking up in the night, bleeding feet, nothing working- it was terrible! I did get checked for the liver enzyme, and everything was fine. It also went away after a few days of applying heavy duty lotion with socks on to bed. I've also found wearing open-toed shoes helps.

    I am currently waiting on a liver transplant so I'm fully aware of all the liver problems. But my feet heave been extremely itchy too and I get my liver enzymes checked once a month and they have been fabulous!!! And normally when I'm itchy due to my liver it isn't just my feet. It's my legs and stomach and arms also! I wouldn't worry about liver!! Try Vaseline and socks before bed! That also helps!

    I just don't understand why dr's wouldnt order a blood test just to be sure. I don't want to be the paranoid/ Google crazy patient but as a first time mom I'm not going to complain about an extra visit or an extra lab test just to be on the safe side.
