Painful Pressure 37 Weeks

I have been having this painful pressure around my whole abdomen (where my uterus is) off and on for the last couple days. It almost feels similar to gas pains. Along with cramping in my lower abdomen and an achy lower back. Is the pressure just gas or something else? Anyone else have it?

    I'm also 37 weeks and have poop like pressure but mins in my pelvis area. I asked my doula about it just now and have an appointment today at 4:30 so I'm hoping for more information.

    Let me know what she says! I was gonna wait until my appt on Thursday to ask my OB.

    Had my appointment but she was late bc of a delivery and barely acknowledged my complaint about the pressure. I asked twice is it was normal and she didn't really answer me. I had other questions that went unanswered and she glanced over my birth plan and said bring it in a week when I have more time to look at it. So I'm completely useless on why what the pressure means. I'm sorry. I've never been rushed out though an appointment like today so I'm hoping it's nothing pressing. My doula said to talk to doc.

    Same pressure here. Saw my OB yesterday and he said I'm over 80% effaced and dilated to a 2. That is what is causing all the pressure, baby is literally on her way out. He could easily feel her head. :)

    Same here (36w4d) - pressure/pain at lower abdomen that comes and goes and feels like a combo of pulled muscles and gas pain. (And it probably *is* a mix of stretched muscles/ligaments and gas pain.) Also, the baby has started complaining when I walk quickly or uphill - he pushes out on one side.

    I have the same at 36 wks 3days my OB said it's pressure from baby getting "locked and loaded" as he put it for birth my LO is in the birthing canal and engaged or dropped
