AFM I am alternating between hope and despair (which is melodramatic, I know, but I don't care!) My RE told me yesterday that he thinks all I'm going to get with this cycle is two follicles, and that I should continue, but the other REs I've seen (the REs do the U/S's at my new clinic and give immediate feedback, which is so amazing!) have been more optimistic, including the one this morning (day 8) that said he thinks that there is still the opportunity for some of my smaller follicles to catch up. I would be fine with just two, if I was confident that would equal two healthy, mature eggs and two great embryos, but that's not how my past cycles have gone, so I'm pretty anxious, especially since we are doing a "freeze all," for a non-medicated FET in June. So I would feel so much better with even one more good follicle to work with. I go back tomorrow and I'm praying that there will be some good news.
But, because I'm a little bit of a control freak and feel better with a plan, if this cycle is a bust, my RE has agreed to try another cycle without the Lupron (since my better cycles were without Lupron). And if that doesn't go well, we'll move on to Natural Cycle IVF.
QOTW: My newest favorite TV show is "iZombie." It's on the CW on Tuesday nights (8 or 9) by the guy who did "Veronica Mars" and is a little like a mix of both "Veronica Mars" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." It's a lighter-hearted take on zombies- since the main character is a former med student-turned zombie who works in the morgue and solves crimes by eating the victim's brains. Yeah, that part is a little gross, but the show isn't very scary, since I totally can't do "The Walking Dead," I'm too much of a chicken.

I had a dominant follicle happen back in November and we converted to an IUI (and had a very sucky sperm count with it so no chance in heck of it working), but then I had just the two grow in Feb and I cancelled and that's what I'm currently facing right now, but I'm trying to remain hopeful that I'll get another one or two to catch up. And I really, really hope that your RE has a plan that doesn't involve cancelling. I'm sending prayers and thoughts and virtual hugs your way.
Was there any talk of what might have led to the dominant follicle? I know in November I had very late ovulation, so ended up skipping EPP and going straight into stimming, since AF came about a week after ovulation, and I'm sure I had the dominant follicle because I didn't have any suppression. I have less explanations for my current issues with just having the two growing, but I'm blaming it on the Lupron.
Good luck on Thursday.

10 out of 11 fertilization is a great fert rate; I hope that this cycle will be different and you will have the majority of them continue to grow! But, like you, I would be happy with just one "good" one to transfer for a FET in June.
