have you thought labor was starting and then it wasn't? This keeps happening to me. I'll get one or two symptoms of labor and be super excited and then nothing ever comes of it. I'm only 38 weeks and 1 day but she is very big and I'm dilated 1cm so hopefully soon before she gets much bigger.

    The contractions are the only sure sign. I have been having signs that my body is ready for two days now. I've went through nesting, I dropped at 33 weeks, lost my mucus plug a week ago, have had diarrhea since friday(I'm not dehydrated), contractions are 10-15 minutes apart and last about 90 seconds. But this could go on for days even a week. You only know if its labor when contractions are 5 minutes or less apart and last 60-90 seconds. Some say 40-60 seconds.

    Sounds like you are both close. Good luck ladies. I have gone into preterm labor twice now and had one false alarm. I can't feel contractions so it a guessing game here.

    Yeah I'm just a hoping I'm close lol. I'm very well educated on when it's labor and when it's not, I just mean it's disappointing when you think it might be and then does not progress into active labor.

    I've went to triage once for preterm labor. I was having contractions often, but they weren't too very strong. They ended up giving me two bags of fluids and a shot of demerol and sent me home after making sure I wasn't going to dilate more than 1cm.

    We don't have long! I'm being induced in 13 days and I cannot wait!
