I am measuring big based on an ultrasound. I am about 10 days ahead but they didn't change my due date nor did they move up my c section. If this baby is anything like my first, it isn't necessarily a big baby but just very long! My husband and I am tall people. My son measured ahead ask and came right on time.
I have been measuring 2.5 weeks ahead for over 2 months (now 36 weeks) but my OB has still not ordered an ultrasound! Every time I ask, she just says oh well keep watching it....
I've been measuring 3 weeks ahead for 2 months now. They aren't changing my due date nor scheduling a c-section. They ARE inducing me at 39weeks, but they do that with all their diabetic patients (I'm type 1) regardless of how baby is measuring
If they change your due date this late, you should change doctors. Measurements are only reliable for determining due date early in pregnancy. Also, please keep in mind that even if they do ultrasound measurements, those are WAY off more often than not. I cannot even count how many people I know who were induced or even had a c-section because of a "big baby" only to find out their baby was between 6 - 8 lbs (and even big babies can still be born vaginally).
I am also measuring big and am getting ultrasounds and nst every week from this point on. Curious to see if they mention induction or c section. Im hoping not!
I've been measuring 2 weeks ahead for a couple months as well, he ordered an ultrasound and they never said the due date was changed but he said I'll most likely go in 2 weeks early. And appointments are scheduled like I'm delivering 2 weeks early. Like I go every week now even though technically I'm only 34 weeks base on first due date. But from the 2 weeks ahead I'm 36. Also looking at a possible indiuction or c-section because of his size.
Last appt I was measuring a week ahead and now today at my 34 week appt I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead. Doc said they'll keep watching it and if I begin to measure 3 weeks ahead they will probably do a growth scan.
Last week , 37, baby was 3.4 kg and dr offered me a membrane sweep to speed thing along, this week she measured 3.3 kg and dr told me there is a 200 gram margin for error and that baby's now normal, so don't worry
