To be honest..I dont know what im looking forward to most. It sounds weird but i still have a hard time connecting with this baby. Im a ftm and havent had an us and only heard the heartbeat once...so i guess...im looking forward to it being real
Is all of the above an option? Im a ftm and have so many things....the 1st time i feel her move, the 1st time i feel her hiccup, the 1st time i get to hold her, seeing my fiance (husband in 3 weeks!) as a father..he has no experience with babies..ahh everything! 8->
I'm with Kristyn. I don't know what I'm looking forward to because I'll be a ftm. I've never even held a baby, and neither has my husband so we're anxious? And excited because we have no clue what we're doing and it will be a big adventure for us. At least we get to be newbies together.
I'm looking forward to meeting my first child for the first time. I'm looking forward to bonding with my little one and showing him/her all about life.
I think just being able to hold and MY baby and not someone else's will be magical. I can't wait to have the bonding experience of breastfeeding my baby! I can't wait to feel all the movements in my belly and to see my husband hold the baby. If it's a girl, I wonder how protective he will be with her and if she will have him wrapped around her finger. I'm also excited to see my parents as grandparents to my kid, since we haven't had a baby in our family in over 6 years. I loved seeing my mom's reaction when I took her to my last ultrasound appt., she was just in awe!
Sharing a little piece of myself with my husband in a human being. Knowing the baby is a product of love. And growing together as a family. It's my mom and dad's first grandchild and just knowing it has so many people who already love it, without having met it, makes me feel more secure. I also want to sniff it...lol. Clean babies smell so good. And I love baby hands and feet.
Is it bad that I'm not super excited about the baby yet? Ugh I feel like an awful mom...
I'm a FTM and hoping it will come later. Ive been soooo sick I am just in a "weird things are happening to me and I feel like crap" stage right now. Can't wait to be able to eat like normal and feel like myself again.
I'm looking forward to seeing facial features! I keep telling my husband that if we have a boy, they'll be identical-- DH, FIL, and DH's granddad all look exactly the same, except that each son is taller than his dad. So if the pattern continues, we could end up with a 6'6" son.
I can't wait to be able to smell touch love and nurture a baby of my own . I was the oldest of 3 so I was always taking care of my sibling when I was younger . Im so excited to finally have my own baby to take care of I already have such a bond with my baby and I am so inlove . I can't wait to see my bf hold and take care of our baby with me . I just think it is to adorable to see a man playing with children and babies . I am hoping for a girl because I will be so excited to do the girly things that mommy and daughter do together . I am so excited for my first everything with this baby through out the pregnancy and even after . (:
I'm a FTM and waited a looong time to conceive. I'm not sure what to look forward to! I'm nervous about lack of sleep, changes in my marriage and bring a good mom! I'm looking forward to getting to know this new little person and seeing who they become! I'm excited to enter the world of motherhood. But right now it's hard to imagine all of that! I want morning sickness to end and to get my "bump" so other people know I'm expecting! I guess I'm thinking shorter term.
I'm looking forward to finding out the sex and buying nursery stuff!
