Hey, blended buddies!

You haven't seen me around much, so I thought I'd come back and check in. Things are going well for us. SD will be 9 in a couple of weeks. DS is 5 and in pre-k. Both are thriving. SD is starting to go through the first upheavals of hormones. So the roller coaster begins.

BM has been on her best behavior, abiding by the supervision order, holding a job, and staying out if trouble. We get $40 in CS here and there every so often when she makes enough money for the state to garnish it. She called the other night and said she is moving out of state, but we'll see how that goes.

DH and I are doing great. We're buying a house right now. Set to close next month. Both of us now have a SAR dog in training (which means we are in training, as well). I'm so much happier being able to work with dogs all the time, in a different way than I do at work.

So how is everyone else doing?

Hello! I'm new(ish) to the bump. Joined the knot forever ago. My DH has 50/50 shared custody of 2 children from his previous marriage. SD is 8 and SS is 6. DH and BM have been divorced for 5 years, so things are pretty amicable on that front (thankfully!). I've lurked around this board a little bit, but I mostly hang out on the TTC board, since DH and I are trying for our first. Nice to connect with some other ladies with blended families.
