I am an avid knitter (I barely read anymore since I am always knitting; this also explains my usual absence from the board in the evenings). For Christmas, I got a yarn ball winder, which is a very fun toy for a knitter/crocheter. I'm sitting here cranking yarn with one hand and Bumping with the other, and it is SUPER fun.

I honestly wish I knew how to knit. It seems like such a unique and constructive hobby. Is it hard to learn?

No, it's not hard at all! I recommend taking a class (look for a yarn shop in your area, they usually offer beginner's classes, and you can learn enough to get started in an hour or so). It is totally addictive.
