Labor near?

My braxton hicks have suddenly increased but only at night. I constantly need to go for Bowel movements and when I can't I still get the cramping pains. I've also been ridiculously upset and Angry. Way more uncomfortable than usual. My sleep is disturbed and I wake up constantly during the night. I have been having period pains on and off and a pressure in my pelvis. Also really bad lower back ache when I get braxton hicks. Is this normal? Is it labour starting? Any experiences?

    I'm in the same boat! Especially tonight! I'm in the bath tub hoping to get relief from the cramping.

    This has been me for the last week. Still pregnant- but close to 3cm, so at least things are "changing" down there and the pain is doing something.

    I had a sweep done Thursday and was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. I have been having intense Braxton hicks, cramping and lost my mucous plug since then, last night the contractions were coming every 5 mins and I felt like a bowling ball was about to drop out of me went to get checked at the hospital and had only dilated to 3 cm :( but the nurses said things are definitely moving along and would consider me to be in early labour so now it is just a waiting game!

    Man, I wish I knew a way to predict how long before labor really started. Could be a couple hours, could be a couple weeks. I get prodromal labor that starts and then fizzles out after a couple hours. When actual labor gets going, the contractions get closer together and increase in intensity. Like to the point you can't talk and it just gets worse and worse.

    I had back labor pains yesterday (36 weeks) and then they stopped. It's the most frustrating part to think something is gonna happen and then everything stops. This is a lesson in patience that's for sure!

    I'm in the same boat except for the back pain! Have had cramping on and off over a week now and last Tues I was 75% and 2cm. I haven't lost my plug but had a seriously painful contraction last night but nothing to follow. It was all in my lower abdominal. I was getting my hopes up! I think these last few weeks are the hardest playing the waiting game! Good luck ladies!
