New to oct 15 was in nov 15 but triplets!!

Hey all I've been in the nov 15 board but just found out at my 8w3d ultra sound we are having triplets...my husband an I are in complete shock as we had ultra sound at 5w there was just one empty sac...I did one 5day round of 50mg of Clomid and that's it! We had been trying for a year an half an this is our first.

    Congratulations! A few weeks ago I remember a post by another mom with triplets, wondering if there were any other triplet moms (at the time, there weren't). Do a search and get in touch with her!

    Congrats. Triplets are a blessing. I nannied for identical triplet boys and it was the most amazing experience. The thing that saved our sanity most was a schedule that we stuck to like clockwork.

    Are these from your 8week ultrasound? It's weird that it doesn't show any of the babies...at 8 weeks I thought we'd be able to see them. I thought maybe this was your 5 week ultrasound, but that wouldn't make sense because you said you found out it was triplets at 8 weeks.


    Eta: I looked closer on pic 1 and 2 and could see more clearly. Why does pic 3 look empty? I'm just curious!

    Oh wow I am so jealous! My husband for a moment thought we were having twins and he told me he has never wanted more than two so I pray for multiples now lol next pregnancy I would be happy with Two or three!!

    That is so awesome! I'm a triplet and my mom used Clomid to have her first, which ended up being the three of us! I was just talking to her yesterday about it actually. She said her chances were one in like 87,000, or something like that, of having triplets! That was in 1984 so I'm sure the stats have changed since then. Do you remember what your chances were of having triplets? I think the doctor also told my mom that she only had an 8% chance of having twins, so you can imagine what it might have been for triplets. We were all born two months early, at a little over 2lbs, but healthy for the most part. Two boys and one girl, and back then they didn't have a way to see what our sexes were with multiples. I got to come home from the hospital about a month and a half after we were born. My other brother came home soon after. The last of us came home after 3 months in the hospital. But we're all great and in good health! I'm actually having my first baby October 25th, just one, lol! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. My parents will totally get a kick out hearing your story and I'm sure they would be happy to answer any questions you might have!

    Congradulations . I found out i was having triplets at about 8 weeks and am 16 weeks now . I was in total shock it was natural and we were only ever expecting one . Hopefully we can share our experience

    Not sure yet last scan i went the two babies were in different position but 1 might be a boy. Hopefully will find out on my next 2 week scan.
    Have they told u wen ur finding out nd when ur having ur c section ?
