What is this rash?

This red spot has been on her arm for a while now. It has never seemed to bother her, it's never gotten worse, never been raised or inflamed but I have no idea what it is and searching the Internet is terrifying! Please help if you know what it might be. I do have an appointment scheduled for her doctor to look at it.

Have you tried putting breast milk on it?

Unfortunately no. I was not able to breast feed past the first week. I tried pumping and breastfeeding for 6 weeks but never produced more than an ounce every couple of days. Definitely not enough to feed a hungry baby so we had to supplement and now she is only on formula.

@JJohnson6121 - Did you figure this out? I noticed a *similar* but not exact rash on our LO. I've called the doctor's non-emergency line and emailed her pic of it. While I'm waiting for her to respond, I'm curious how yours was resolved?

Glad to hear you're also taking her to the doctor! This looks familiar; my DD has mild eczema, and when she gets a bug bite or scrape, it flares around the area and takes longer to dissipate.

Updated to say my doctor looked at the pics and called me. She says if it's isolated, not itching and not spreading it'll probably go away on its own and sometimes little irritations happen. If it gets worse or seems to bother him, she will take a look.

I bet it's a bug bite. Good luck! I hope it clears up soon! Vaseline works wonders at healing....I use it on my baby when he scratches into his face! It's amazing how well it clears things up..
