HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY - Ultrasound and heartbeat

Sooo very happy. Went in for an ultrasound this morning. According to LMP, I was 7 weeks 3 days along, but according to my normal ovulation, I was estimating 7 weeks 1 day along. Ultrasound confirmed my estimate and I not only got to see the heartbeat, but I also got to hear it which the doctor wasn't expecting so soon.

Having had a miscarriage in February, I can't begin to describe what a relief it is to know the baby has at least made it this far. So incredibly happy.

For those of you out there who are nervous about spotting, I spotted 5 or 6 days in weeks 3 and 4 and another 9(!?!) days in weeks 5 and 6 which resulted in a hospital trip. It was all light brown, and according to the doctor it's all irrelevant now. My baby is (currently) healthy.

Hopefully that helps some other women relax a bit.
