I RSVPed for a friends wedding a long time ago & now, when I'm 38 weeks, I have facial/whole body water retention & am thinking about bowing out of the wedding. Please share any remedies that have worked for you!
I'm just wondering why you're waiting until the last minute to cancel. You either RSVP'd before you got pregnant or you were pregnant when you accepted the invitation. Either way you had to know, eventually, that you would very pregnant at the time of the wedding.
The bride is paying for your food and reserved a spot for you and possibly a guest at her reception. If you do not attend she is out that money.
I imagine she is expecting you to show up at the wedding since you turned in your RSVP. She may feel hurt if you aren't there. Unless there is a medical reason why you can't attend you should be there. It is my opinion that bloating or swelling is not a valid reason to ditch your friend's wedding. Put yourself in her shoes and think about how she will feel. That day is not about you and I'm pretty sure you will be fine walking around with a little bit of swelling.
I'm not trying to be mean but I think someone needs to say it.
We just went to a wedding and I'm huge and it's fine. Your having a baby, it's expected you'll be swollen at this point. Drink some water, and just don't stay for too long at the reception
