I'm at 6w 1d and haven't had my 1st appointment yet. With no general result tests taken, my family has already been taking guesses!
I want a boy and hubby wants a girl.

  • We already have a boy, so the practical part of me thinks another boy would be great because we have everything.  My husband wants a girl though.  We have names for both, and we'd be happy either way.

This exactly. I would love anotherboy, it's would be easier since we already have everything. DH wants a girl though.
  • We have 4 boys already so we'd love a girl but healthy is what matters most!
  • I want a girl & DH wants a boy. He already has his little girl so I think that's why he really wants a boy. ;)

  • I want a baby. :)  I'm pretty sure my fiance is in the same boat.  We're not even planning to learn the gender when we reach 16-20 weeks because we're fine with it being a surprise.

  • I'd like a boy. I have 3 girls but either will be awesome!

This only in reverse, we have a girl :)

  • I just want ONE healthy baby. Truly, that's all that matters. I would prefer a boy, but girls are alright, too. ;)

This exactly! I really just want whatever would be best for DS and our family dynamic but DH really wants a girl.
  • I'll take either! We have a son and my husband has two daughters from a previous marriage (they live super close) so part of me thinks another boy makes sense, we have the stuff for a boy, being brothers sound fun, it will "even it out", but a part of me thinks a girl for all the nail painting, tea party stuff would be fun for me :)
  • I have two boys so I'd love a girl! But honestly just want a healthy baby!!

We said goodbye to our sweet Taylor Ashley on August 8, 2012.We lost baby Noelle on May 1, 2015

Mom to Cam and Al, now expecting baby number 3, August 2016. Praying for lots of sticky baby dust!
  • I already have a girl and boy name picked out and how I would decorate each nursery (I'm kind of type A :p) so I am equally excited at the possibility of having either!

  • I have a little boy now and think two little brothers would be amazing. At the end of the day, all I want is a healthy baby.
  • Same as @GalLaura. Funny thing is we have only agreed on a girl name. I'm finding it hard to pick a masculine name but not too common.
  • We have two girls and I'm on the fence about which I'd rather have. A boy would be new and exciting, but we've already got the girl thing down and of course have all the girl gear. Now, I do know a couple of little girls that might be upset to discover that not all babies are girls; they really want another sister.

We are dreaming of a future filled with dresses and bows, lol, but more blue would be more than welcomed too :) Healthy is what matters most!

We already have a boy and girl, and I'm hoping for another boy this time around. My son would really love a little brother, and my daughter is one of those kids who would have been an excellent only child ;). I feel like she needs to be the only girl for herself. I would however be ecstatic to have another girl, and DD might just surprise me.

  • When I was younger I had always said I wanted a boy as my first born but now that I'm actually pregnant, I want a girl. Boyfriend already has a 10 yr old son with his ex wife and he's said that he doesn't want anymore after this. So this babe... please be a girl. There are so many cute cat clothes. haha.

  • I agree with most other moms to be, a healthy baby is all that matters. My husband and I would like a boy...since we're asking!

I kinda sorta want a boy...I feel like I understand boys better than girls! My boyfriend has two daughters, ages 9 and 6, and they are great kids but I was never a girly girl so I just don't get into the stuff they are excited about.

My boyfriend says he doesn't care but I think he wants another girl. Pretty sure he likes being the only man in the house that all the girls pay attention to! :-)
  • My husband really wants a boy first to name after his grandfather. (He'd be happy with all girls after one boy, ha!) So just to choose the opposite, I'd love a girl first. Both of us are firstborns, so I think we both see our firstborn as ourselves... if that makes sense. :)
