I am a little past 11 weeks and have thus far lost weight, about five pounds. My BMI was at the low end of "normal" pre pregnancy. Anyone else experiencing this?
no, unfortunately I have gained about 4 lbs so far, I'll be 12 weeks Thursday. I haven't had any morning sickness at all and have been indulging a little bit in desserts. If you've had some throwing up it might be due to that..
I've lost weight, too, because of the lovely morning sickness/aversion to pretty much every food. I'm also at the lower end of "normal" with my BMI. It's not unusual to lose in the first trimester, and my doctor was completely unconcerned by it at this point in the pregnancy (I'm 9 weeks). And just think -- once you're feeling better you get to make up for it!
i lost 4 pounds , due to all the morning sickness , went in at 10 weeks & 4 days , & i heard & saw the heartbeat & baby was moving like crazy his/her legs and arms (emotional moment) but my doctor was not concern at all for my 4 pounds less , she says every pregnant will gain weight 2nd trimester & on . so dont stress it (:
I've lost 21 pounds and I'm 9 weeks. My midwife was not overly concerned, although did start me on Diclectin to help with the nausea/all day sickness/aversions to all food. However, I am plus size, so I have extra
That sounds a lot like my last pregnancy. I'm on the petite side, and lost about 8 lbs due to morning sickness first tri. It happens, and my doctor was unconcerned. And then I put on the expected weight gradually through 2nd and 3rd tri and things were great.
I've had similar concerns..I'm 11 weeks 3 days and I've lost 7-10 pounds in the past month or so (I'm 5'4" and normally somewhere between 122 and 125, but now I'm barely 114). I've been hoping there is something wrong with my scale and that maybe I'm not actually as low as it says, but people keep telling me not to worry, just eat what I can whenever I can. I've been really sick, so that's why I've been losing weight. It got a little better at the beginning of this week so I was able to eat more then.
Have you been sick? That could totally make you lose some weight. But if you're concerned maybe you can call your doctor and see what he/she says?
Of course you should discuss with your doctor but I have heard it's very common to lose weight in the first trimester. I only gained about 1 or 2 pounds. I'm sure once your appetite returns you will gain it back plus some
I lost 10 lbs before I found out then another 10 after I found out. I was a big junk food eater (normal bmi) and all of a sudden I couldn't stand chocolate and have a high intensity job so the mixture of that and ms the doc hasn't said anything yet. Although she doesn't know about most of the weight loss.
I lost weight from not drinking soda anymore (sometimes I have an occasional coke) and from quitting cigarettes and all around changing my diet to eating healthier. My doctor told me my weight is perfect and I'm very healthy, and not to worry because this happens sometimes!
My BMI is on the low side of normal and this is my third pregnancy and third time losing 15 lbs by week 12. If you are concerned, discuss it with a medical professional but in my experience, I always gain enough by the end and have 8 lb babies. I am not even sweating it this time
I've been nauseous 24/7 since 6w and I lost a few pounds at the beginning. I don't think I've really gained much except maybe back to my pre-pregnancy weight. As long as your doc isn't worried, you'll probably catch up and be just fine.
I haven't been sick (thankfully) so haven't lost, but have yet to gain at all. I am 13 weeks and it is perfectly normal to not gain anything in first trimester. Plus I'm active and eat relatively healthy. Remember, second trimester only calls for an extra 600 calories a day!
I am plus size and have lost 16lbs since becoming pregnant... I'm 14 weeks 4 days. I've had nausea but no vomiting at all... Just very decreased appetite!
