Thinking about dying my hair, there isn't a harsh smell to the dye, it is bubblegum scented. Read some articles on it and they say it's fine as long as I'm in a well ventilated area. What are some of your opinions?
mine is black with purple ombre.... and since I'm a little older (ha ha) I frequently color over those salt strands (salt n peppa ain't my thang) and I have to touch up my purple about every 4 weeks Go for it girl!
I died my hair back to my natural color at five weeks, and everything was fine at my first doctors appointment! It's honestly with what you feel comfortable with, now a days hair dye is a lot safer then you think!
Phew I'm about to dye mine right now lol In all seriousness I'm just one person but I've had no issues the only thing to remember is that bloating isn't the only thing that changes. Your hair does too. Otherwise giver nuts.
I get the dye that has the fruit scent to add to the solution so it's not the full chemical smell. I have been told by multiple dr that it's fine just not to bleach your hair at all during pregnancy but personally.. A lot of doctors will tell people different things in general.
So maybe call and ask your Dr to see what they think.
If you do it I would definitely stay in a ventilated area!
My dr had no problem with it and my stylist said she would switch me to a ammonia free dye which is safer and not so harsh and doesn't smell bad. I get mine dyed every 5 weeks cause I have premature grey and it's not cute. I go on Monday I say go for it we need to feel good about ourselves right now
Shortly after I found out I was pregnant, I dyed my hair from green to black. I knew it would be frowned upon to bleach my hair during pregnancy (green hair is a pain in the butt to maintain!) so I just went ahead and went darker to get it over with and avoid excessive coloring.
Worst mistake ever. Although I used permanent hair color, it won't stay! The black is washing out and the green is trying its best to show through lol
I was warned that hair color wouldn't stick as well as it did pre-pregnancy, but I didn't believe it until now. I WANT MY GREEN BACK!
I am a hair stylist and colored my hair my entire last pregnancy. I have already done it twice with this one and it is just fine. The products in the past were the ones that could be dangerous during pregnancy, but now are perfectly safe. If you are nervous ask your doctor and see what they say.
ive tried to dye my hair twice while pregnant, and each time, only my roots changed color. my doctor said it was hormones because it never happened before i got pregnant! be careful!
