stroller

We are looking for a new stroller. We currently have a Graco but I would like something that has the girls facing the same direction.  Any suggestions?

Re: stroller

  • I would suggest that you go to a store- BRU, Buy Buy Baby- and look/test out some.  You will get all sorts of answers - but I always take what others say as a guide- if I am going to spend money on something I want to actually touch it and try it out to see if it lives up to all the hype.  I also think people think they need these elaborate strollers to only find out that they are a PITA to get in their car, fold down, or are too heavy to manage- then you blew a bunch of money on something that takes up space, and you can only resale at a loss ( because I don't care what brand your stroller is or how many times it has been used- it is USED and to me only worth 50% of what you paid if you used it once and in great shape)

  • We registered for the Chicco together stroller. It goes with the Chicco Keyfit car seats that snap on to the stroller.

  • Went to BRU to try some out last weekend and was totally disappointed--they had ZERO twin/double strollers on site to try out. It was so frustrating! Going to try Buy Buy Baby this weekend...

  • I adore our BJCM GT. But also second the Buy Buy Baby suggestions
  • My boss, who has twins himself, recommended the Mountain Buggy Duet to me when I told him we're having twins. It just arrived, so I haven't tested it yet, but they face same direction and it fits thru most doorways!
  • Like cookiesmac I also have the Mountain Buggy Duet.  If I lived in a place with nicely paved streets and sidewalks and wide doorways I would most likely have gone with a double umbrella stroller.  Not a reality for me.  The main things I was looking for were air filled tires and something not obnoxiously large.  I have had my Mountain Buggy for about a month now and love it.  The wheels and turning ability are great, especially on uneven surfaces and I can push, turn, control it with one hand.  The seats recline well and the sun shades are very generous.  There is a large basket underneath and it folds up to a nice size.  There isn't a parent console, maybe this can be bought as an accessory, but this was not a big concern for me.  There is one soft sided drink holder cup and a wrist safety strap.  I had a jogger before and loved having a hand brake as I live in a hilly location but I can easily control it going downhill without a brake.  When I first received it there was definitely a learning curve in learning how to collapse it but once I figured it out it is nice and easy.
  • We have the Combi stroller and it's very light and easy to push, however I still wish I would have bought the City Mini. They had both when we registered and I really liked the way the City Mini felt. We ended up with the Combi b/c online it appeared you could put both carriers in it at once but the pics we misleading. From talking to other moms, we weren't the only ones that thought that.
  • So we went to buy buy baby and ended up getting the City Mini GT by baby jogger. A bit pricey but I think it will work wonders for us.
No complaints about the Graco other than it doesn't allow me to recline the seats!
