Pregnancy perks

back aches, pregnancy brain, morning sickness...

But how about the perks?
For example, I've been super emotional lately and the other day I started crying when my husband didn't want to bathe our dog. Long story short, he bathed the dog.

Also, give me ALL the food. No one judges cause 8 months pregnant \:D/

What have been your pregnancy perks?

  • My skin is GLORIOUS. Even if I do say so myself. I always struggle with bad skin across my forehead and back, but after a terrible acne-ridden first trimester it has cleared up like never before and I'm loving it! I'm like "are those clear pores on my face?!?"

I read that if your skin clears during pregnancy then it will backlash on you and be terrible after giving birth. I am really hoping that's not the case but probably will be, so I'm appreciating it every second whilst I can!

  • Someone gave up their seat to me at the very crowded DMV. It was AWESOME!

This. It's like everywhere I go, people are jumping out of their seats to offer them to me.
    Coffee Bean Born 6/13/15.
    2nd round exp 8/20/18.
    Meow.
  • i dont get in trouble anymore or get poked fun at when i sit down at work cause im tired/my feet hurt. (boss would always be like "youre sitting again?" and such before) but his gf is pregnant too so i think he understands now.
  • I'm always getting free food. Tomorrow is my last day as the office runner/lunch pickup person, and I'm quite sad about it. Every store/business I went into all of tax season offered a free drink/milkshake/sandwich/etc. It has been amazing!
  • My colleague voluntarily gave me a box of Girl Guides cookies seeing my greedy eyes. Or may be she felt obligated because I basically hijacked her cubicle seeing the boxes on her desk. ;)
  • Yes, general uptick in politeness on public transit has been nice, even if only intermittent. Still happy to not have to deal with cat litter. I'm also able to force some deadlines at work based on my due date, which has been helpful.
  • Dh and my sister helped me plant my entire garden this year and by help I mean I mostly just said hey over there! So amazing. Of course food not caring about having a milkshake every once in awhile.

My husband and I traveled out of the country and being pregnant in Europe is fantastic! We were given priority at the airports so I wouldn't have to stand for long periods of time. It was awesome.

Good to know! Leaving for Germany in the morning!

My perks have included finally utilizing the new & expecting moms parking spot at the grocery store!

People do seem to be more considerate. I wish other drivers could know i'm pregnant so I could get this particular perk while driving! Lol

I thought this exact thing the other day! I had gone to the bathroom before I left, but 30 min later I had to go again, and while stuck in traffic I thought, "come on, let me go ahead, I'm PREGNANT after all!!" The belly's just too low to work, though :'(.
  • Great skin, people offering me their seats, my husband telling me to relax and get comfortable while he does the chores, impromptu foot rubs from the hubby, when he comes up behind me and lifts my belly to give my back a rest, and everyone I meet telling me I am such a cute pregnant lady. That definitely helps when I am hating heartburn and morning sickness all over again!

Yeah, the level of spoiling from DH is going to be hard to come back from!
  • My hubby always giving me compliments lol makes me feel so good
  • After getting over the first trimester sickness my hair has gotten so long thick and shiny! Thank you vitamins :)
  • I am enjoying my hair... It used to be quick to appear oily but now there's no sign of oil and it seems much more manageable!

  • DH and I went out to eat and there was no parking, the only one was for expectant mothers and mothers with children. We high fived.
