Go home outfit

Hey! I'm trying to find a go home outfit for my baby who will be here around May 22. Every new born outfit online is a onesie w long sleeves and pants. I know baby has been in a warm sack for 9 months and body temp can drop more easily but should he still go home in a long pant/sleeves onesie w hat? I'm in the Deep South it's going to be like 100 degrees by then with 100% humidity. Am I missing something? Shouldn't there be more springer options to take baby home in?

    You could just go with a regular onesie or romper. I've seen lots of stuff with short sleeves and not much long sleeves.

    Yup. I would just do the newborn onesie and a blanket if it happens to be cloudy and breezy.

    I'm in NC and it will probably be as hot as the sunny side of hell on 30 May when my baby girl is due.

    Florida here. I'm bringing a short sleeved onesie bc I figure I can wrap her in a blanket if I think she's cold. But I've heard people recommend kimono style shirts for newborns so it doesn't bother the umbilical stump. I can't find any short sleeved ones though!

    I'm bringing a dress, it has a sweater, but depending on weather idk if we will use it. And a hat. I am bringing a newborn outfit and a 0-3 month because I'm afraid the newborn will be too small. I'm so excited to see how cute she will look in them!:)

    Thanks ya'll - I found some rly cute outfits on Ralph Lauren but none are newborn they start at 3 months. The NB were all long sleeve/pant.

    Found this at Ralph Lauren that we're bringing her home in...my family tends to have large babies so hoping 3 month size works :)
    Also packing a newborn shortsleeve onesie (just in case) and a swaddler blanket.

    Georgia here and I found a short sleeve custom infant gown set on etsy....it's light weight material to combat the warmer weather here!

    My midwife advised dressing baby just a tad warmer (1 extra layer) than you would normally dress for the weather because babies can't regulate their own body temps as well. A long sleeved onesie would probably work great or a short sleeved ones with little pants. Onesies are very breathable, and baby will be in your car which presumably has ac. Good luck deciding! :-)

    Maybe look at different sites or go to a store, there are tons of short sleeve outfits for newborns. The onesie I chose is more like a romper because I think they're just the cutest, if you're having trouble finding shorts just go with bloomers, or nothing since she'll probably be in a blanket anyway. Just got outfits at babies r us, kohls, and ross. And I crocheted a lot of cute stuff t take pics in :D girls are fun.
