How long until test results?

Given the rather nightmarish experience I had yesterday with a nurse I hadn't seen before, I didn't even think to ask, but... How long after taking the gestational diabetes test is it likely that I'll receive a result? Granted, all offices operate a bit different, but what seems to be the norm?

    I got my results a few hours after I did the one hour test. They told me I would have them by the end of that day.

    I got my results the next day. Whenever I get lab work done I usually get an email telling me my results. Sometimes I get a phone call.

    The lab told me I'd get them after 2:00 that same day. At 5:30 I called. My doctor was off that day, so I wouldn't have been called until the next day, but since I called, another dr looked at them and gave me the results.

    It depends. I passed mine and they didn't let me know until my next appointment.

    For both the 1 and 3 hour I took my test in the morning and found out that afternoon

    I found out at my next appointment that all was well. They would've called if they had any concerns. I think I could have found out online as well but I never set that up and now I don't even know where the paper is

    A few hours they are posted online. With my 3 hour my friend was running the lab and told me the results as soon as they were done running

    This time was immediately, I knew before I left. Going back to my first pregnancy they told me at my next appointment. My second one they called me the next day.
