Dexamethasone and betamethasone

am 34 weeks pregnant and my doctor prescribed betamethazone injection to me at 32 weeks he said because my placenta was grade 2 and i might have an early baby and then at week 34 he prescribed 4mg dexamethasone two injections ,did anybody use these drugs and why u used it??

    Yes these are steroids to help pump up baby's lungs. I've taking them with both my pregnancies due to preterm labour. It helps the lungs mature faster so if they come early they can breath better

    Above poster described it perfectly. Has to do with beefing up lung development
