Blown vein

doc's words were "you blew a vein".
I have an ugly varicose vein that runs from mid-calf to mid-thigh, and a balloon behind the knee where the valve has given up :(. Had an ultrasound for clots- all clear, but will my beautiful leg ever look the same? Compression tights are helping.

    I have one running from the top of my thigh all the way down and around to the back of my calf. Mine has been there since I have been overweight since I was young. Had wls in 2013 and it started to show up when I lost weight. They wont go away unless you have them removed. Sucks I know. Mine looks awful and huge.

    Apparently my g-mom had them bad, and eventually removed. It's shocking at first to realize that it's there and it's not going anywhere. My dr said there are more options out there nowadays, and I feel like at least there is something that can be done. Thanks for commiserating!
