So I started this pregnancy off with years of fertility issues. I got pregnant with an IUI and I am now 9 weeks today! I started having some nausea in my 7th week and now it is gone! I felt horrible this weekend, so I took some time to rest and relax. Is it normal for the morning sickness to come and go? I don't go to the doctor again until April 8 (after seeing my baby every week since 4 weeks, this is a long wait) and I would love any hope that this is normal!
It is completely normal. Many people, myself included, never even have any morning sickness at all.
As nice as it must be to have an early symptom (even though it is meaningless and women have reported MS and miscarried while others report no MS and deliver healthy babies), don't wish for morning sickness when you're fine. So many women suffer for weeks or months with extreme morning sickness or HG. Be thankful you're not dealing with that.
Urgh don't wish for MS, Ive had it my whole pregnancy, I'm currently 37 weeks. It's sucked. Having MS has no relevance to a healthy pregnancy. It's great that it's settled down for you.
I was pretty consistently sick, but around 9 weeks started to feel better. Sorry to report (and it's different for every woman!), it came back for me with a vengeance. Only now, in week 11, am I feeling some relief.
It's so hard because unless you have an ultrasound at home (or a doppler) there's no way to know if everything is ok. Symptoms aren't a reliable indicator. It's pretty maddening, but just know: 1. we are all in the same boat and 2. it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go
I totally understand! I'm 10 weeks and mine got so much better this week. At first I freaked out, but then a lot of people told me that it can be perfectly normal! We may just be the lucky ones.
You'll have good days and bad! Enjoy the good while they last! I had pretty consistent m/s up until about 20 weeks and only have it under control cause I took more diclectin! Otherwise I'd still be throwing up every day!
Me: 24 years old

June 2014: IUI #1, BFP, c/p

Jan 2015: 12w ultrasound, measuring well, perfect heartbeat
Yes it completely normal I was scared to death when my morning sickness would dissappering. I thought if I wasnt sick that I had a mc. Dont worry thats not the case! Im 26 weeks now I hardly had any MS at all. It completely ended at 11 weeks and had started at 6 weeks
Ugh do notttt wish for your morning sickness to be back! I've been vomiting everyday it's awful. I'm 7 weeks and did have moments where I felt okay but trust me YOURE LUCKY :x
While I can totally understand your desire to see symptoms after years of fertility issues, I would count yourself lucky if you're not having them. Morning sickness is downright miserable and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I had it during my first pregnancy and am battling it right now with this second pregnancy. The sickness can get so bad that it only stresses you out and that's not good for you or the baby.
Re: I "miss" my morning sickness!
