NPR: Loving Jane the Virgin

So I needed a break from kittygedon and I just finished catching up with this show on HULU! I highly recommended for stressed out mamas. Part telenovela part....ok, its all telenovela but in English. And tellanovellas are like better versions of Passions (remember that soap?! Witches and junk! Loved it)

At least watch episode 16 where Jane attends a mommy class and discovers the horrors of GASP mommy forums. It gave me a good laugh.

Anyone else loving this show? Any other recommendations for feel good shows to get my mind off the parent train barreling right at me?

    I love that show too. Another one of my favorites on Netflix is Orange is the New Black. Addictive. The Goldbergs is also a funny one.

    I have loved Jane the Virgin since the beginning! I think it helps that her pregnancy is lined up exactly with mine, so whatever I am currently going through that week, I just watch a funnier version of it on tv and suddenly my problems don't seem so bad.

    Is it like, a traditional soap? Or more of the poking fun at itself type of show? I'm not into soaps, but I'll go check out episode 16 tomorrow when there isn't playoff hockey on (well, there is playoff hockey tomorrow, I mean I'll watch the episode before hockey comes on. Gotta watch the playoffs)

    My boss makes fun of me for watching Jane the Virgin. It's one of those shows that's sooo bad but sooo good!!

    @mellymar It's a romantic comedy with a little drama. The only thing soapish is that some of the happenings are a bit out there. But the lead actress won a Golden Globe for it so it's not cheesy and terrible lol
