Getting checked for first time

I didn't see a thread about how your appointment went when they checked you for the first time. I am 37 weeks tomorrow and 80 percent efaced and 1 and a half centimeters dilated. So I have heard that means labor could be any day for me?

Could be any day, or you could still carry to term. My friend had her babe at full term and she had been 70% and 2 cm for 4 weeks

I was 3cm for 5 weeks. And still went 1 week over due. Everyone is different

I wouldn't get too excited about labor starting soon. You can be 1cm and go into labor an hour later or walk around at 3cm for weeks.

I was wondering the same thing. I get my first internal done on may 8th. Still a ways away yet, I'll be 36w5d when she checks. So good to kinda see some mamas have different things going on at different weeks. I won't feel so anxious about it.

I'm 37 weeks and am not dilated or effaced at all. Like others have said, everyone is different.

I was 1cm at 36 Weeks. I'll be 37wk tomorrow and have had no early labor signs to speak of. My dr said i can walk around for weeks at a 1 or even up to a 3. She told me they are mostly checking to see if ur progressing and if u are to keep an eye on u.

Could go either way. With DD I was a fingertip dialated and delivered her two days later. Others walk around weeks with 3 cm.

I was 2 cm and 50% today and my doc doesn't expect me to go anytime soon, and this is # 4. I'd like to prove her wrong and go like tomorrow because being pregnant for 14 months is ridiculous
