Insomnia Anyone?

i don't have time not to sleep, but I lay in bed awake every couple of hours. My daughter is 14 months and will be up at 6:30. How do you go back to sleep?

Re: Insomnia Anyone?

  • Typically I get up and walk around a bit and stretch a little. Usually when I lay back down I don't feel so restless. However, as you can tell, that's not working for me tonight. And of course I have to be up early for a doctor's appointment :-w

Oooh hello fellow insomniacs! Working on some sleepy time tea right now myself. Wish me luck With the sleepyz. Tonight is why it drives me crazy when someone says "get sleep now while you can". Melatonin supplements work like a charm for me but I have been sheepish to use them since I don't know how safe they are for pregnancy. :-?

  • Yay! Insomnia activity on the board. I think I'm gonna go have some cereal. So hungry. Yes, let's get rest while we can... Easier said than done!
  • I was up last night from 3-6 not feeling a bit tired. Tried to just lay at first but it wasn't working so I got up, had a cup of tea, and did some yoga. Not the relaxing kind, the out of breath my arms are gonna fall off kind. Came back to bed and fell right to sleep. My puppy is so cute-- when I get up, he gets worried if I don't come back to bed right away and comes looking for me and sleeps out in the living room until I come back to bed. :x
  • I try to stay awake late so I'm not so much sleeping as much as I am passing out from exhaustion. Not the best solution I know, but at least I manage to sleep a little more this way. My OB said I could use unisom safely but I have always been leary about taking meds
