DH having pregnancy symptoms

So since we found out I was pregnant, I notice my hubby has had some of my symptoms. Like during my first trimester I was getting horrible migraines and he started getting them. I thought it was a coincidence. But he eats all the time when I eat, when he had a strict rule with not eating after 7. Now he's taking my tums, he has heartburn and cramps like me haha. I was wondering if your hubby or boyfriends have any pregnancy symptoms?!? Thought it could be a fun thread with stories of their symthoms.

Re: DH having pregnancy symptoms

  • The only pregnancy symptom my husband has is nesting. He's going non-stop making sure the house/projects are finished before she arrives.

  • Oh yeah. Weight gain, exhaustion, back pain...
  • Mine had morning sickness with me and is super hormonal. Haha he's always really tired too.
  • Yes I forgot back pain lol.
  • My DH hasn't had any pregnancy symptoms but we went to get our Tdap vaccines this weekend and he is still complaining about his sore arm. Perfect example of why women are the ones to give birth! Haha
  • My DH definitely has the nesting instinct. He's worse than I am. Haha.
  • My husband has been nesting a bit. Thank goodness otherwise it unpacking would never have gotten done. We just had the urge on opposite days. One day I feel good and want to get stuff done and he's lazy and tired and the next I just want to sleep and he wants to unpack more!!
  • OMG! DH keeps saying how he has fatigue and nausea in the beginning. Then when I got the body pillow, he said he needed one too. Then when I got a hernia he said he felt like he had pains in his groin. And now I feel so heavy and he says he feels like he's gaining weight! Enough! It's like he's trying to steal my thunder but then gets to turn around and drink and eat sushi and soft cheeses. I WISH he had the nesting instinct!!
  • Mine is doing tons around the house to fix everything up before baby...and having insomnia in the middle of the night like I have been having (even though we don't wake up feeling worried or having our minds racing)
  • My DH has been having weird cravings for things he doesn't normally eat. I haven't really had any cravings, so it's not like I'm eating something and he just gets curious and wants to try it. He's even woke me up at night to see if I want him to go on a fast food run lol!

Omg my husband won't stop with this, he's like "do I really have too!?!?" Yes you do lol the one thing he needs to do for this and it's like he's giving birth too!

  • My DH has done a little nesting and has gained some weight. He also likes sweets more than he used to...I can't get enough sweets lol.

Wait... Is your husband supposed to get the tdap shot too? I thought baby was protected from you getting the shot.

My doctor and the pediatrician said anyone who will be around the baby more the 4 times a year. So him and his mother need to get one. They offer you the shot now or after you give birth, but it doesn't pass to the baby.
  • My boyfriend is always hungry he's always tired sooo lazy. I swear he acts like the one who is pregnant half the time.

My doctor advised the same. You get it and it will pass to the baby and DH, parents, in laws should get it as well. DH gave me a hard time too but there is a local high school where they have had recent cases of whooping cough so I wasn't giving in. I had to bribe him with lunch at his fav restaurant to get him there.
