any inexpensive beach ideas for single parents?

Hi all! I'm hoping to take my 6 yo daughter to the beach and obvs don't have a ton of money to blow. I'm looking for something in GA/FL,SC area beaches. I may be able to go with another mom and her 2 kids. Trying to look for something around $400 in which we'd prepare most of our meals and eat out maybe 1-2 time (keeping in mind needing extra spending money for attractions/ice cream/souvenirs). Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!! TIA!

    The Outer Banks can be very reasonable if you go in the spring or fall.  Lots of people there rent out their vacation homes, which might be a good option if you are splitting it with another mom.  Also check to see if anyone you know has a membership with a timeshare company like RCI and would let you book an extra vacation.  You can often get a unit for $300 for the week.  They are like condos, so you have a kitchen and laundry facilities.  Good luck!
