Hi.
Was just wondering if I could get some advice.
I want to know if labour is imminent so that I can be ready to go.
My signs are:
Lost mucus plug late last night
Having horrible period type pains
Back ache getting unbearable
Shooting/stabbing pains from where baby is pressing head down.
Lots and lots of increasing tightness across abdomen.
Thing that worries me is that my mum and grandmother had no contractions whatsoever.
Any advice you have would be much appreciated. Am getting s bit anxious now.
X
Re: Anxious about labour approaching and signs
I am not sure if I am dilated. I would like to think so by now after all the pain down there.
Fingers crossed things are moving one though. Fed up of waiting now!!!
1. Induced at 40w 2 d
2. At 38w 6d I woke up not feeling well. i stayed home from Church to rest on the couch. By afternoon I was having timeable contractions that would stop me in my place. I had to get on all fours and rock. I could not talk through them. By 4 o'clock we were heading to the hospital. The pain was intense i could not sit in the carseat through a contraction. I arrived at teh hospital at 6cm and she was born 10pm that night.
3. I was 36w 5d. Contractions started on a Tuesday. They were 7 minutes apart and intense enough I could not walk. i went home from work drank a ton of water and rested. They stopped. I assumed it was just dehydration. Thursday tehy started again and they would stop me in my place and I rocked to wait them out. Friday i went to work in so much pain. i could not do anything through a contraction. Saturday afternoon my water broke and she was born at midnight on Sunday.
4. I am now 38w 5d and have been having strong braxton Hicks for 1.5 weeks. My stomach gets tight and there is some discomfort, but they are not dropping me to the ground and I can talk through them. They do get frequent up to 5 minutes apart. Much worse at night or after peeing. However, I know from past experiences they need to increase in intensity.
