City Mini and Key Fit 30

Hey everyone, I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on the City Mini with the Key Fit 30 car seat? We were originally going with the Chicco Bravo travel system but the one we want is unavailable. We realy liked the Chicco and were thinking about returning our City Mini, but while at Disney World this past weekend we noticed that no one had the Bravo! Not one! While there were hundreds of Citi Minis. So we think we may want to keep it now. Should we go with the Key Fit 30 or is the Mini more compatible with something else?

Here is the site we used to pick a stroller. I really liked the comprehensive chart and honest pros and cons. We ended up going for an uppa baby Cruz over the citi, vista, and bob and sacrificed price for versatility, lightness and features. Hope it helps. I wouldn't worry about who has what at Disney. Remember people come from all over the world and are heavily influenced by local trends. For example EVERYONE in the loop in Houston has a BOB, moms in Korea baby wear or use the Orbit, and Malibu is all about the bugaboo(it rolls in sand!). So do what's right for you.

  • The key fit and city mini is what we have :) I'm an FTM so I can't say much about it. The reason we got it is my sis is a nanny for twins and loves these. Hope that helps !
  • I like how light the car seat is... I can comment on that!
  • Loved my Chicco and fell in love with the city mini at Disney. We use a stroller frame with the infant seat so I'm no help on using them together.

  • this post is AWESOME! Hubby and I got a car seat from a friend and have been debating if it is worth keeping and getting the stroller to match. Hubby is very very picky about the stroller and I left it up to him to decide and so this website will make sure we get one before the baby is here (which was a concern of mine since hubby still hasn't decided yet). Thank you so much for posting this!
  • We are getting the Chico bravo too... I'm not too worried about its lack of popularity bc I think its relatively new and only at babies r us right now so that does not surprise me!
  • I loved my Chicco 30 and the City Mini.. Awesome!!! We are having baby #2 so we are upgrading to the double version but keeping the car seat!
  • Don't know about compatibility with car seats but to be honest this will probably only be useful for the first six months or so,we never needed anything like that with our first but I can see how it would be handy. The city mini is not reversible so unless you always use it with your capsule, your baby will be forward facing. I had the mini with my first and it is an excellent pram but the forward facing thing was a bit of an issue for me. Also the seat does not sit up to be completely upright and they tend to sit a bit back in the stroller. It's great for sleeps though. The pros are that it folds like a dream, is light, hardy and you can take that thing anywhere, it handles wonderfully too, so for days out like Disney or long walks it's really great. Have you considered getting two prams? I am getting a Bugaboo Bee Plus and then just getting a second hand city Mini for like $100 bucks or something off eBay.
  • I got the bravo last week. I tried to order it at a store near me when ordering my furniture ( I opened a credit card to save the 15% and wanted to save a bit on the system). They said it was unavailable due to a strike out at some ports in California. I happened to be at another store last week and they had it in stock do I grabbed it plus they honored the 15%. I like that the seat can come off for the smaller frame
  • I just got the Chicco Bravo and I love it!! It took me a little while to find the color I wanted (Polaris) but I was able to get it from Bed Bath and Beyond at 20% off because I was new to sign up for text messages through them.
