It generally happens around 34-35 weeks. Basically you sit/lay and they monitor the baby. They place a belt to monitor the baby's heart rate and another belt to monitor the contractions. If you are going to get one, be prepared sometimes it can take a while. Typically it can take 2-30 minutes. I would suggest eating a meal or a snack before going that sometimes wakes baby up. I had a stubborn one, I was in the office forever until my doctor determined I had enough moves in a certain time frame.
