Awful Mother-in-law

Is anyone else dealing with a crazy MIL? Mine is just such a handful and so socially inept. At my baby shower she said, "I bet your baby's gonna be really mean." Why would my baby be mean? I don't even believe babies have the capacity to be mean. She recently posted a video to my FB wall of an elephant being born, almost dying, then the mom kicking it to help stimulate it and bring it back to life. Her comment was "You should kick the baby like this when he's born. Lmao". She totally stresses me out and gives me so much anxiety! My husband recognizes she's crazy, but since it's his mom he doesn't see it on the same level as me. Anyone else have MIL horror stories already?

    A little background for my story.. I'm Hispanic dark hair dark eyes tan skin and my husband is Caucasian blonde and blue eyed .. My MIL told me to pray my son comes out looking Hispanic like me because otherwise if he comes out like my husband everyone will assume I'm his nanny not his mother.... She thought I would laugh... It was suppose to be a joke. I feel your pain girly good luck . It makes me feel better to imagine her in situations less than flattering. Call me evil but I always get a good laugh out of it.

    @lovelleg93 omg your story is horrible too! And OP good lord what a horrible woman I would have told her off by now and said you can't see my baby as you think he is horrible and needs kicking oh my god!

    I have so many stories about my MIL. She is my least favorite person and I have to deal with her just about every week. She called me a "big girl" when I was pregnant w my last pregnancy...she is the most loud and obnoxious and socially inept person too. Sounds like our MIL's should get together. I seriously cannot stand her and would not be upset if I never saw her again. Fortunately, my husband doesn't rly like her either she was a horrible mom but he feels the need to include her in our kids life...every single week......

    I hate my MIL too, but thankfully she lives at least 5 hours away. My husband doesn't like her or talk to her either thankfully, so it's not a big deal. He didn't even tell her we were expecting, she found out through family. She's planning on coming up here after we get settled, but she's white trash to the max and I'm not allowing her in my house.

    She Called me fat within the first 5 minutes of meeting me and suggested to my husband that he take me to a plus size only clothing store within that same 5 minutes. She also knew that I had just busted my ass to lose 75lbs and I wasn't having to shop at Plus size stores by a long shot. I was so mad.
    A week after that comment she tried to give me some of her jeans and told me that we were the same size. Not only did I refuse, but I laughed in her face.

    There were so many other stories about her. I just hate the woman.

    Mine is a certified narcissist. I get that it comes from a lifetime of trauma and it is a mental disorder, but I still hate her guts. Batshit crazy, mean and manipulative, racist and homophobic, and just plain rude. We're also very different culturally. She is traditional catholic mexican (although she says she is Spanish and Italian) and I'm not. Our relationship isn't pretty.

    Good luck hon. I don't have any good advice. Just a great big 'me too!'

    My MIL is the worst! She refused to talk to anyone at my baby shower, and in which case I don't even know why she came. And has told people she wants to take me to court for custody of the baby! Talk about a psycho MIL!
