Bananas (this probably would've been better as a FFFQ)

Went to my bunch of bananas and saw two of them have spontaneously split open a little bit- they weren't like this when I bought them. The banana itself looked completely fine and normal, not even brown. I just cut out the part that was exposed and ate it...but now I'm kind of freaking out a little bit after googling and reading about banana worms and all kinds of ridiculous things. Have any fellow banana lovers had this experience?

I've eaten a split banana within the past two weeks. It never crossed my mind to google it. But I'm the last person to fear germs, other than non-vaccinated people. So... Either you're totally fine, my baby is growing an extra head, or my immune system is strong from a lifetime of ingesting germs carefree. I vote finding a new worry.

I think the likelihood of that actually happening is so very slim that you're more likely to cause yourself a heart attack from stressing about it. Granted, I don't know the first thing about banana worms, or the statistics on them, but ... The bananas have been eaten. No use crying over ingested fruit. :)
