Re: Healthy Living Check-in 4/6/15

  • 1. Something you need to work on.
I had a HORRIBLE week!  Between my 2WW, Passover, and Easter I was an eating disaster last week!
    2. Something you are proud of.
I guess I would say I'm proud of not drowning myself in cookies and booze this week
    3. Your plan.
Beta is tomorrow morning.  I plan to keep up with my eating plan either way.  I can go back to group training tomorrow, the class is early but I already told my trainer to try to modify things for me.

QOTW:  Since spring is finally here (well hopefully) in Upstate NY, what is your favorite outside physical activity to do with your kid(s)?  I love going for "long" walks with our dog around the neighborhood.  We live on one of those streets where someone is always outside and kids are always playing!

  • Last week was the opposite of healthy. I needed a mental health week and food = love. It didn't work, I still am sad & mad, so I am back to being 'normal' and will be 'healthy' again next week.

I like taking long walks and going to the park with the kiddo. I like to run by myself outside. It is a nice, quiet break.

    Kid #1 - 09/03/12
    Kid #2 - maybe???
    Diagnosed with Severe Ashermans
Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube
#11 or IVF with scarring still inside?
1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh
  • 1. I need to work on maintaining.
    2. I am proud of the last week. I'm on a 3 day running streak (4 if I go today) and I exercised all but one day last week. My meals have been ok, too. Some definite slips (ahem chocolate and beer) but nothing majorly out of control. I am beginning to see the tiny beginnings of ab muscles up by my ribs.
    3. My plan: keep the exercise streak going, and keep tracking my meals to make sure I'm getting enough fiber and protein each day. I have been running 5ks with my run tracker to see if I can get through one without taking a walking break. I'm so close!

    QOTW:
I like to take DS on nature hikes. He's kind of a home body lately so I'm thrilled whenever he wants to play outside! Yesterday he wanted to "golf" with DH which means putting divets in our yard and dropping golf balls in puddles (DS says "oh no! Your golf ball went into the drink!").
  • I'm joining! :)

    1. I need to work on eating healthier and hopefully losing a little belly fat in the process.
    2. Training for a 10 miler in a few weeks while working full time and being primary caretaker when we're home.
    3. I started tracking calories and diet with the my fitness pal app and making sure that I'm eating enough protein and not too much carbs.  I'm going to keep going with the 10 miler training as well.

    QOTW:
I love going on walks with DD.  She got a fisher price digital camera for her birthday so I think I may make up a photo scavenger hunt for her to go on around the city. :)

  • I need to work on eating better over the weekends.

I am proud that I have now lost 20 lbs since January 12th, and 10 of it in the last 3 weeks.

My plan is to keep doing what I am doing with working out 4-6 times a week and eating low carb by cutting out sugar, bread, pasta and rice.

QOTW: My 7 month old loves going on walks now that he faces outward. We try to take him every chance we get. :)
