Barely a bump

Hey guys! I'm 21 weeks pregnant and hardly have a bump...All of my ultrasounds so far have been normal so I'm not necessarily worried about the baby, but I'm wondering if anyone else feels like they should be showing more? IVe never been overweight but have ever been a size 2 either. It's my first pregnancy and everyone tells me I should just enjoy this time! But I'm wondering how this will affect the rest of my pregnancy. More back pain? Is he just sitting further back in my stomach? Comments please!

Re: Barely a bump

  • I'm 22 , 23 weeks on Tuesday and I have no belly at all , I look like how other girls look at about 10-15 weeks and my baby is perfectly fine in any way shape and form we just carry either more towards the back or lower or even both and plus your a first time mom so your stomach muscles aren't already stretched , plus every pregnancy is different (:
Your not alone I'm waiting for the day I wake up with a huge baby bump! But I always see him moving and kicking. So your not alone it's nothing to be worried about .

  • Lurking from july Im 5'4 at beginning of pregnancy weighed 140 im 27 weeks now and just now getting a bump :)
  • This was me a few weeks ago. About 3-4 days ago I totally popped!! It'll happen ;)
  • Yep, 5'4", started at about 135 lbs, 20 weeks, and no real bump yet. We have our anatomy scan on Monday, so I don't technically know that everything's OK, but it has been so far. I think some of it has to do with how strong your abs were pre-preg, and how willing they are to relax and let baby push them out!
  • Is this your first pregnancy?

It took a lot longer for me to pop last time, I don't think I got a bump tilll after 25w or so. This time it popped at 19 and now I have a little bump.

  • I know you get anxious and excited to look pregnant, but hopefully this means you'll spend less time huge and uncomfortable. I was in this boat my first pregnancy, but by the end I felt like I could barely remember being skinny. And no matter how strong I made my abs in between babies, everything happened faster with #2. You're in a good spot, I promise!
  • As everyone else said. Its completely normal for a first pregnancy. I'm actually amazed at the difference now that I'm on my second. Try to enjoy it. For me at least its been more depressing to get so huge so quick cause I know how much longer I have like this... I love my babies, but after being pregnant and nursing for over 27 months, then getting about a 4 month break, I just want my body back!!!
  • I'm 24 weeks along with my first. I'm 5'1 and was 108 when I got pregnant. I'm up to 120 now and still in that phase where I see strangers giving me and my super sexy fit husband weird looks. Like why the heck is he with chunko. But a neighbor I hadn't met before asked if I was pregnant and made my day (I would like to hope people would assume pregnant over fat) but I'm ready to get past the phase where it could go either way. Lol.
  • I feel like I've got a small bump too, and I'm just 20 weeks. Some of the pictures I see on Baby center at 20-22 weeks look nothing like this! I guess we just wear it differently :/
  • 23 weeks ftm and just a small bump. I'm just enjoying this in between stage where I can still do things I won't be able to later on. I'm going on vacation in 3 weeks and am hoping I don't get huge before we go.
  • im 23 weeks today and no obvious hey im pregnant bump i look like i drank too much soda or i ate to much :) . its probably your stomach muscles are still strong n not stretched yet

I'm 22 weeks FTM and I have only gained 4 pounds and I hardly have a bump at all. I was really in shape before I got pregnant and I still actually have a 4 pack of abs showing. Baby is measuring big and healthy! This picture is baby sticking out far for normal

I'm right there with ya! A lady at work literally stared at my stomach Looking for the nonexistent bump yesterday rather than looking me in the face when she talked to me. Don't compare yourself to anyone else-you are who you are supposed to be!
  • I'm on my 3rd baby and still no weight gain and no bump! I always figured it was because I'm tall, 5'8 3/4 and 140lbs so I just thought baby has plenty of room to go up instead of out. There is a plus side to the little bump, no stretch marks so far! My mom and sister and all of my family have stretch marks and I somehow managed to not get them, bring on the tiny bump!
  • 23weeks on Wednesday with Baby 5 - 5'7 and healthy weight - you wouldn't know I was pregnant :)
  • At 20 weeks i could hardly see anything im 23 now and you can definitely tell im pregnant. One day you wake up and look in the mirror and you'll have bump. Out of no where haha.
  • I'm 20 weeks with my 2nd baby and I'm not showing either... With my 1st pregnancy 9 years ago I never started showing until I was closer to 7 months and my baby was born at 7"11'... The nurses and doctors were in shock as to how big my baby was and my stomach was just so tiny.
  • I'm 22 weeks and havent gained any weight.. also I'm nit really showing either.. my work doesn't even know I'm pregnant yet
