My due date is Nov. 13 and my 1st will be about 3 1/2. I'm not looking for a side by side, any suggestions as to brands/models for a good, lightweight infant/baby and toddler stroller?
Have you had a look at the Uppababy Vista? I own the Cruz and really like it, but not going to now go buy a Vista. Not sure what I'm going to do yet as my original stroller wasnt cheap and I don't want to blow tons of money on a new one.
I just don't like that you can't walk through a store aisle with a side by side. I want a multiuse stroller, one that I take on a brisk walk and to the mall. I could be wrong, but I've go a pretty big single stroller and I have issues with that.
I love love love my Britax!!! And you can set it up for the seats to face any direction you'd like such as, the kids facing each other or, backwards or forwards to face you or, one underneath the other. It's not light but it's easy to maneuver and drives like a Mercedes. It rocks!
I have recently looked at Ready2Grow Click Connect LX Stroller. It is AMAZING!!! You have 12 different positions for both kids to ride, its not side by side (which I absolutely dont want either). There is an option for an older kid to ride on a standing platform or on a bench seat. Planning on getting this one for sure.
The bonus for me is that I have their other click connect 3 in 1 modes travel system so the infant carseat is compatible with this stroller. I am planning on selling the single stroller I have and purchasing the double. One thing - it is not very light (I can fold it easily but need to arms to lift it into the trunk) and since it is a double it is long even when folded so try putting it in your car before buying it (babies r us will usually let you do this with their associate present)
I second the Britax B Ready!! Comes with lots of attachments to do either a bassinet, car seat adapter or the 2nd seat. It's easy to maneuver and not that bad to get in and out

I've never had an issue with the exception of Kohls. Most side by side are the same width as a wheelchair and if you can't fit a wheelchair down the aisle, that's against federal regulations
I've been looking as well, I first liked the britax b ready but I then found the city select which I liked better because the seats are more of stadium seating they called it instead of like the b ready where one of the seats is down on the bottom so I think that is the one I am going to get.
With a 3.5yo you might be able to get a sit and stand which will be more compact. That's what I would like but DD will be 20 months when the new baby comes and too little for a sit and stand. The idea of having to lug around an enormous stroller is just so yucky. I have the Britax B Agile now and wished I just had a lightweight MacClaren. It's going to be hard with two because I'll need to fit an infant seat and a 20 month old and those are HUGE. I think I might just wait to get one. Maybe u can wear the LO and stroller DD. Although this new LO is being born in winter so wearing might not be feasible. Ugh. I don't know what to do.
I LOVE my Uppa baby vista. It is pricey but worth it. It does just about every combination you can think of. It's also very high quality and I can tell a big difference from my last, cheaper stroller.
