White Noise Machine

Anybody use one for their LO? Does it really help them sleep longer?

    We love ours...got it at Target for $25! It plays different sounds but the rain one sounds like white noise...our 4 month old hears it and knows it means sleep :)

    we use ours every night, I got it on sale for about $20 the feature I love the most is when he begins to cry the machine automatically turns on so sometimes he will begin to fuss it will turn on and he passes back out.

    We have the Dohm one which seems expensive ($50 I think) considering it only makes one sound but it works like a charm. It's really helpful to let her know it's bedtime and also drown out noises that might wake her up.

    I'd recommend one that plugs in though. It sucks when the thing runs out of batteries and turns off. It wakes him up!

    Our girls both have air purifiers in their rooms and they sleep much better with the white noise from them and it's constant all night, thus less disruptive and better air quality!

    Love the white noise machine. I read that for better sleep to only play the white noise...not ocean waves and whatnot...and to play it loud so you can hear it on the other side of the door....so I have been doing that. My lo has been sleeping through the night with it so I will keep on using it! I'm unsure at what point to stop though!;)

    Try the sleep pillow app! There are a lot of white noise apps for iPhone or iPad that are great and even louder than the Conair machine I got at target! Free option and can go with you anywhere! I stick my phone by his carseat when fussy and he's out! Now if it'd only help him STTN!
