has this worked for any mommas out there? My tear is burning and itching at this point and I can't seem to find relief so im trying this product out but I want to know if it really works? Sorry for the tmi.
I'm using this too. It does provide relief so I hope it is doing it's job. I can't compare what it would be like had I not used it so can't say if it "really works". For $15, it's worth it to give it a try.
I just ordered the angel baby bottom spray off amazon for 11$. I figure for only 11$ it's worth giving it a shot! It'll be here Monday.
FYI- Do you know that is basically diaper rash cream and not for mom's? I ask because I also ordered it from Amazon thinking it was a postnatal product and it was not. I returned it to Amazon and after they took out shipping, I got about $4 back- doh! I should have just kept it and tried it out with LO.
YES buy it!!!! A friend brought it to me on day 2 and it was the first time I could really stand up straight without pain. Dermoplast and witch hazel pads didn't really cut it for me. I spray it right after rinsing and patting myself dry, then sometimes a few sprays directly onto my pad. They also have a balm that is phenomenal and I put that on after the spray. Amazing and something I will consider a must have next time!!!!!
Also, a sitz bath may really help. You can get a plastic tub that sits in your toilet and basically cups warm water around your parts, or you can soak in really warm hip-deep tub water. Soak for about 15 mins. The stitches can get tight as they heal, making you feel pinching and just general discomfort. It helped me! Just make sure your tub is super clean if you do it in the tub.
If you are allergic to lanolin, be careful with dermoplast - I ended up in the ER due to major pain and swelling. No one realized the dermoplast contained lanolin.
