strep b test

what do they do during the strep b test? Do they swab inside or just around?

    I just had this done yesterday and my doctor swabbed a little inside the vaginal and around the anus. It was super quick and not as bad as I was expecting.

    They go a little inside, but I couldn't feel a thing! It's just a fast swab.

    No inside for me, just around and it was so fast. Don't think Pap, it's more of a wipe with s q tip :)

    Just got it done and its totally painless. My first pregnancy this was quite the surprise. When they went a lil lower I squealed lol was not expecting that!

    According to my pregnancy progress calendar 35-37 weeks. I got mine done today at 36.

    I was absolutely terrified about this test (I don't do well with internal exams) and the ladies on here were super helpful in giving me reassurance.

    I wasn't supposed to have mine for a couple of weeks, but at my appointment yesterday the assistant read my chart wrong and got me ready for it. Which actually worked out well because I didn't have time to get myself too anxious about it.

    It was quite quick and definitely not as invasive as an internal. I told my OB I was worried and she reassured me. When she saw me start to get nervous she finished VERY quickly.

    If you're nervous, tell them. But I managed to get through it okay. And I've never made it through a pap. So hopefully that's helpful.

    Oh and I'm 35 weeks.

    I had mine done Tuesday at 35 weeks. My OB just had me do my own.

    They just swiped quick from the outside of the vagina to the anus but not inside just the skin around
