Spring break is almost over and I cannot think of how I am going to survive the extreme exhaustion and nausea with a room full of kids all day. Any suggestions for getting through the day?
I am also a teacher. I try to nibble throughout the day and drink lots of water. I told my teaching partner and principal as soon as I started feeling crummy in the event I needed to run to the restroom quickly. Luckily I teach RR and can take quick breaks between groups.
I'm a school based therapist constantly with children , I drink ginger ale throughout the day and nibble on crackers every couple minutes. Standing makes it more difficult for me so I am either moving around or sitting. Kids love to do jobs for me so that always helps too. Trying not to use sick days either and just praying the second trimester is better. Good luck!
I'm also a teacher and I try to drink water constantly. With my first I was also teaching kinder and had to tell my team I was pregnant early because there were many days I had to run out the room to go throw up. This time around staying so busy seems to help but if things get bad like last time I'll get nausea meds because that was the only thing that got me through last time
I teach 6th grade and I'm separated from the rest of the hall due to an influx of 6th graders and very little space, so I have no covers. I'm terrified MS will kick in next week and I'll just have to do it in the trash in front of my kids. And they're sharp, they'll know what's up. I stashed some crackers in my desk, but I'll do what I have to do I guess lol.

I give myself 2 hours to get ready each morning and when in school crackers and water save me. I teach high school, so a lot of the work that my students do is independent, which gives me time to sit and breathe through my nausea. Also approaching students with less than pleasant body odors has become impossible, so I help them at a distance
6th grade teacher here. Sad to say that I've thrown up twice in my classroom trashcan while my kiddos watched because I couldn't get out of the room in time. They just think that I have a bug but if it keeps up, I know those smart little buggers will figure it out!! I can't wait for June...I'm so miserable!!
Oh no! Does morning sickness get worse? I haven't felt like throwing up yet, but does it get worse? I just feel totally nauseated and never ever hungry. I hope it doesn't come to puking.
I'm a middle school teacher "on a cart" so I don't even have a room of my own! I constantly have water, and sour candies (icebreakers and the preggie pop drops) have been a LIFESAVER. The Sour Patch Kid gum helps too. Oh, and crackers. Constant munching on crackers. I get the most nauseated when I get at all hungry.

I'm an elementary music teacher... I am usually singing and dancing around but have had to keep it very low key lately! Today was the worst it's ever been, I think I may have a stomach bug on top of the pregnancy nausea. Dancing and jumping around are definitely out of the question right now!
I feel yall. I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow and I am going to ask for diclegis. I have felt really crummy all spring break and I am not looking forward to Monday. I do know that I feel lots worse when I haven't eaten for a few hours. Water, apple sauce, sea bands and crackers to all!
I teach 5th and my kiddos are starting to get suspicious! I've been snacking lightly throughout the day...crackers and string cheese. I'm also drinking a lot of water. Which means lots of restroom breaks. I had to tell my neighboring teacher I was pregnant, so she can watch my kiddos when I need to use the restroom. This morning sickness is no joke! I'm looking forward to June.
I am not a teacher but am currently on spring break from my job. I feel like I'm dying! This is the worst sickness I have ever felt. The only thing I keep telling myself is that there are other people out there going through the same thing. Right?! There is no way I will be able to go back to work next week. I've tried natural remedies, zofran, homeopathy, essentially everything, I am so nauseous ALL the time, with bouts of throwing up. It's unbearable...how is everyone else out there coping??!!
Not a teacher, but I work at a daycare and have a room full of kids. Just take it as easy as possible. Nibble on crackers. Water makes me feel worse so try sprite or ginger ale. Try to keep something in your stomach all the time. I feel worse if I let myself get too hungry and then eat.
I am also a teacher and have been struggling!! I make sure I drink lots of water, ginger ale and lemonade. I keep peppermint candies at my desk and snacks like pretzels, almonds, etc that I can just grab a handful when I need. Good luck!!
I'm a preschool teacher and am taking maxolon 3 times a day as well as grazing throughout the day. Frozen grapes and salty crackers have been my lifesaver. I have had a few sick days though but feel worse for it. It seems to stay away as long as I stay busy and keep moving around with the kids. I played soccer with them today and it was great, I felt great for moving around and doing something. I only feel like crap when I sit down and stop moving. But staying on my feet all day is starting to hurt my back already. I'm only 8 weeks.
I teach high school freshman and had to tell them early too but, just because they figured it out! I am 10 weeks as of yesterday and thankfully have not really been sick sick. All that is getting me is the fatigue and the mood swings! And High School Freshman aren't always the best behaved... Ladies it will get better!!
I am an elementary teacher. I agree with everyone on the crackers and water. My students do not know, nor many of my co-workers. Just trying to get through this first tri-mester. I have ended up with sinus infection during spring break, which has been terrible for the nausea. Hope all feel better soon!
Yes, I teach K-8 general music. This is my first pregnancy and I have been feeling constantly nauseous for the last two weeks. I've just been snacking constantly trying to keep my stomach from being empty. Greek yogurt is really nice.
I teach orchestra so I stand on a podium conducting for 5 hours everyday with all eyes on me. It will be hard to keep this pregnancy a secret. This is my second pregnancy so I will show sooner. Luckily I have a student teacher so when I had a wave of dizziness and nausea I was able to have her take over for a few minutes so I could sit and get a drink.
I'm a Montessori toddler teacher (16 m/o to 3 y/o) and it's hard but not impossible.. Sip on water a lot and crackers aside from that there have been a couple times I couldn't make it to the bathroom and threw up in the trash can just to be surrounded by toddlers saying "what's that miss Angie? Is you okay miss Angie?" .. Lol
