Who else was surprised?

Hi, D15 mamas! I've intro'd in the other thread, and I know of at least one other D15 mama who was surprised to find that she is expecting. My DH and I were "2 and through" and have given away every single baby related item. We were surprised to find out that we are expecting #3; birth control effort in place and all haha. We are definitely excited, but it's a lot to process. Having experienced two losses, I'm taking lots of deep breaths, staying positive, and wrapping my head around it all. Any other D15 moms in the same boat? We feel very blessed, and live with the idea that everything happens for a reason, but wow! Any funny nicknames for your surprise? We're calling this baby, Surpi, short for surprise.

I love the nickname! Ours was a surprise as well. We hve an almost 8 month old and knew we wanted two...just not quite this close in age. We were thinking we would wait till after his first birthday to start trying. It will be interesting, crazy, and fun for sure! We are very excited though and already can't wait to learn more about who this little bean will be!

Ours was a surprise! We weren't trying to prevent it but we weren't trying to conceive. (We rarely have sex) but I got really sick one day and was like noo way am I pregnant. 5 pregnancy tests later and an ultrasound here we are. We are hoping this is are miracle baby since the last was a miscarriage.

I was surprised for sure. I went to my annual exam to to talk to the doctor about TTC. I was worried about my weight and issues with my thyroid. I quit taking the pill a few months thinking it still wouldn't happen naturally and boy was I surprised when my doc walked in and said Congratulations! Ha! First ultrasound scheduled for April 22nd. Can't wait and I'm a ball a nerves!

We were certainly surprised! Don't get me wrong, we were trying and we're not surprised that this is where babies come from… It's just that we did IVF last cycle after three medicated IUIs... Because we had a very early loss after the successful IVF, we definitely did not think that this would be the month we would end up pregnant! And naturally!

Totally surprised! I have PCOS and we could do whatever without conceiving. I had to take medicine to conceive with my son. But recently I've lost almost 20 lbs (19, so close!). We had sex once without pulling out, and surprise! We are very happy, but we gave away almost all of our baby stuff. First appt on April 27th and I'm nervous. No symptoms so far besides fatigue and bloating.

Dr told us it would take us awhile to conceive. 2 months later and here we are. Definitely a surprise but a very exciting one!

We were surprised! We were not preventing but we were not actively trying. He was suppose to be making an appointment to get a V! Too late for that now! Still gonna make him get one before baby is born though so we don't have to worry about it later.

Definitely surprised! We call ours Peep because we found out just before Easter. We literally had sex twice with no contraception and bam! I kind of had a feeling I was a fertile myrtle though. Lol So excited for our first little love!

@pagrl17--that was our experience too!!! I told my friend the weekend before that no, I was not pregnant (which I was but didn't know it!) She responded by telling me that I strike her as fertile. Three days later, the test was positive!!! BIG surprise!

My husband was set to make an appointment, too. He said he's setting one up asap. A little late Buddy haha

It was our first month off birth control in almost 6 yrs.. My Dr. Said most likely it wouldn't happen and I also was thinking NO since we had a busy montha and only tried 4 times and none airing the main ovulation time... Well we are so excited and to my surprise Husband is more excites than I could have imagined!!

Me too my mom got pregnant with my youngest brother with her tubes tied clearly not correctly.. Lol so I wasn't very worried but wasn't expecting a baby in 2015.. Lol

I was totally surprised and even cried (not really a happy cry but shocked cry lol). I only was taking the test to shut my husband up who kept saying I was pregnant every 10 minutes that night lol I just knew that I wasn't and was going to prove him wrong! Well that blew up in my face!! Needless to say after the shock wore off we are both super excited about having our second child.

I am so surprised. We were NOT trying to have a baby right now. I have 3 kids already aged turning 5 on April 26 a 3 year old and turning one on April 26. We were happy with the three and wanted to wait a few years to try for two more back to back. We just bought and moved into our first home in February and I guess we got a little too excited haha!! But I'm ok with this and I know it will be ok. I just found out about 2 hours ago and am still in complete shock I keep check the test haha but I'm so nervous to tell hubby tonight after work. I plan on putting a "big sister" shirt on my 11 month old and see what happens. Wish me luck ahh

We were surprised. We had been trying for months with pretty good timing and in March we moved into a new house and all of us got struck with the flu. Our timing was -3 and +2 so I stopped temping. I realized that I still hadn't started spotting and my boobs were hurting so I took a test at 12dpo and it was negative. Woke up the next day and took my temp and it was up so I took another test and left it on the counter while I took the dog out and got it's breakfast and came back to the faintest line! I immediately dipped another and had another faint line. I bought a FRER on my lunch break and confirmed.

This one was definitely a surprise! We were not actively trying, I was on bc and we literally had sex one time last month. Even after BF and having my son back in August, when I finally got AF back, she was still as regular as ever! So, when I had a bit of spotting and cramping, I was ready for my period. Two days later, nothing. I took a test, I thought it was negative, so I threw it away. Two days later, still nothing, so I took another one while DH was feeding our son breakfast. It was a very distinct positive and I was just standing there going, "You have got to be kidding me." Over and over. We're excited, but we just moved after dealing with a crap landlord and a mold issue, so we were already talking about just being one and done. Guess the Fates decided to be cheeky.
