I'm scared went to the doc they did an ultrasound vaginal and sac is measuring 5weeks and 4 days when I should be 6weeks 4 days due to LMP should I worry? They said I probably ovulated late

I just posted about this. I went today and had my first US and I thought I was 8 weeks and they said I was measuring 7 weeks. The doctor did not seem concerned about it at all.

Estimated due dates are just that - estimates. I wouldn't worry. When I went in for my first US we thought I was 11 weeks, but as it turned out I was only 8! It put me in a whole different birth month! Lol.

I wouldn't worry yet. You probably did ovulate late. Going by your LMP is only accurate if you ovulate on day 14. Most people do not.

Your dates will never be 100% accurate from your LMP. I thought I was 8 weeks but my ultrasound showed 7 weeks 1 day. Baby was perfect size amd heart was beating 147

So no need to worry! Most people are off by a week or more

I was the opposite. Ended up being a full 2 weeks further along then I though! Our bodies are weird!

I haven't had my first u/s yet, but I have cycles that are average of 36 days long so I am probably not as far along as my LMP would suggest. I'll actually probably end up as a December 15 mom.

Unless you were temping, and know exactly when you ovulated, you could have ovulated earlier/later than you thought. I have heard it happen before numerous times. Doctor is probably right. I know for a fact when I ovulated so I knew my due date before going to the doctor. Best wishes to you!

Happens all the time. I went from 8 weeks to six weeks and 5 days. We don't always ovulate around day 14 and have 28 day cycles. That is what they go by when the do the first calculations from last period.

I have a feeling I am earlier then what my lmp calculations are. My first ultrasound they didn't see a heartbeat and I have no bleeding or cramping so I'm thinking it's too early. As of now according to my lmp I'm 7 weeks and 5 days. I get more bloodwork done tomorrow to check my hcg levels again to make sure they are rising and another ultrasound on the 15th.

Same exact thing happened to me. I thought I was 8 weeks and was told 6 weeks 5 days. I had 28 day cycles for a long time until the month before we got pregnant I was two weeks late and couldnt for the life of me find out when I was ovulating anymore

I've had two scans so far and each one knocked me back two days, so I'm four days later than my LMP date. The first one measured the sac, the second measured the baby. I used OPKs and didn't get a positive until CD 19, so I ovulated late anyways. It'll be interesting to see if my date changes with my third scan on the 14th.

I was totally in the October birth month for a while there -- went for my update ultrasound today and, of course, I'm only 9 weeks and not 11 weeks. Kind of depressing, really. I thought I was almost out of the first trimester and now I'm not...Plus, baby's due date is 3 days before my birthday. So, that's actually a really cool thing...

Haha same story, I first joined the october moms, and then I got an ultra sounds, they brought me back from 10 weeks to 6 weeks, so sad

took me a while to be happy again. I am 7 little weeks now. Sigh.

I have a feeling my due date will change once I go to the doctor. I'm basing it off my lmp. My cycles are always weird and short but days in my cycle are different every other month. Plus this pregnancy was a surprise.
With my last pregnancy (I charted, temped, etc.) I knew exactly when I ovulated but then I went in for my dating ultrasound and they moved my due date up a week earlier. So you never know I guess.

My first appointment i thought i was 8w 3d but i was actually 7w 6d not a huge difference but we still got to see our love bug

I ended up a few days further along. I thought I was 7 weeks 6 days ended up being 8 weeks 2 days so not far off. I had a clomid cycle and tracked it fairly well.
