Sleeping well?

Soo...I was prepared to not be able to sleep well. Not that I am complaining but I have been sleeping very well through the night this past week (of course 1 nightly trip to the rest room). I feel like something is wrong with me! Is anyone else actually sleeping? Do you sleep better once the baby has "dropped" ? I was struggling a lot there for a few weeks so it is just throwing me off.

Re: Sleeping well?

  • Other than waking up to pee, I haven't had any issues sleeping the entire pregnancy. Even on days that I take a nap, I still pass out at night and get at least 3 hours of sleep between bathroom breaks.

  • I haven't had difficulty sleeping since my husband agreed to sleep on the pullout couch. I miss him in bed with me but I am sleeping sooo much better without him. (Except last night. I got spooked so went and got him from the living room. He was pretty happy to come "protect" me lol )
  • I don't sleep at all! I'm up at least 5x to pee because I have to every time I change positions. I'm 35 weeks tomorrow.

  • I fall asleep just fine, regardless of whether I take a nap or not. Sleeping through the night is another story though! I get up to pee a few times and LO likes to romp around in my belly around 4am. So I'm up at 4 almost every morning. On top of that, my DH is a crazy sleep walker, so I also have that waking me up.
  • 34 weeks; have to drink at night because I have such a dry mouth (getting over a cold). I'm up peeing every 1-2 hours. Last night I was up 5-6 x!!!!! Then 14 mo DS gets up at 5 for milk and then up again for day at 6:30. Needless to say, I'm not sleeping well. Can't wait for the weekend so I can sleep in!!!

  • I've been sleeping better this time around than last time (knock on wood). I do roll over every few hours but I am able to go back to sleep quickly and can usually wait until the morning to pee.
Last time was much worse. I dreaded going to bed at night because I knew how miserable and uncomfortable I was going to be!

Amen! I guess we are prepping for baby. I don't think I ever loss sleep with my first but this one has definitely been different!!
  • I've been struggling this week with her dancing after I go to bed. And after I get up to pee. And after a drink something. And when I shift. Oy! She is a light sleeper! So I am up half the night feeling delirious all the next day!
  • I am usually out from 9ish to Midnight - then a pee break...then sleep again until about 4 and am up for 30 mins to an hour....though I definitely wake up briefly throughout the night to roll over and get comfy. I log a lot of hours in bed, but rarely wake up feeling rested!
