2cm dilated at 35 weeks?

I just got done with my 35 week check up, and I was told I was 2cm dilated already my due date isn't till May 6th. My OB seemed like it was no biggie, but as FTM it kinda worries me... Plus doesn't help I haven't even had my baby shower (it's suppose to April 12th)

Any other moms walked around dilated and for how long?

    I've been dilated to 3 since 28 weeks. I'm 32 weeks now.

    I'm due May 6th and found out on 4/6 that I am 2 cm dilated. Doctor wanted me to stop working so I did, packed my hospital bag and now I'm just waiting. My shower is 4/11! :) I've heard of people walking around for 2-4 weeks dilated like this.

    Last pregnancy i was at 2cm very early, like 20something weeks. By the time I was in labor at the hospital for hours I was only 3cm, everybody is different. I still wasn't "fully" dilated by the time baby wouldn't wait any longer.

    IM 1.5 cm dilated an 50% effaced at 36 weeks. It makes me excited that things are working!

    I'm 36 weeks, 2 cm & 80% effaced. I'm happy about this since my first one I was 42 weeks & 0 cm!

    I've been walking around 2 cm dilated since week 33-34 lol, i'm 36 now don't worry about it it's not a big deal you only have 2 weeks before the baby is full term and good to go! But you should have done your baby shower earlier just in case you go early. But i've been looking it up and a lot of women told me they were in my situation, i actually had preterm labour, and made it past their due date.

    Im 35 weeks and at yesterdays appt they said I was 3 cm .... didnt tell me if effaced any. I am due May 8th and the doctor said she would be surprised if the baby held out until May... I am going to need him to cook a little while longer at least until April 24th when things get wrapped up at work.

    With my second I was 2 cm for the entire last month. Wouldn't worry about it. It will only psych you out for maybe nothing happening

    It really doesn't mean much. As mentioned , you can be dilated for quite some time and still end up being overdue.

    Hi ladies - my DR was not in the talking mood today to answer my question. If any of you at all know, please let me know. I'm 36wks and she said im 1cm but long. Does that mean nothing os happening or does the 1cm indicate at least some movement even if its weeks from now. Thanks so much!
